  1. They're going to tell u to resolve that issue to restore your license. Otherwise, it can restrict u from getting hired. They'll tell you come back after it is restore and the receipt showing you took care of it. Depending on how fast u get it done, u can either catch the upcoming class or They'll make you wait for a next class.
  2. Don't risk it. Don't smoke until you go to your OPA. It IS possible they drug test u that day if they need to quickly fill spots for a class. It says it clearly in your letter that they can drug test u immediately.
  3. That means you should contact them and find out. Don't let them pass you by. U see what happened to Alexx. He got passed a few times cause they couldn't contact him. Lucky he reached out to them.
  4. I believe u will. Don't be shy, if u ever want to ask them something, email them and see what they say.
  5. FYI. I know someone who just got a letter to go take their OPA and their list number is in the 1112X. So it seems they're going to exhaust this list as much as they can before the next test comes out. It seems as if NYCT really needs Conductors OR they're on some Money Grab tactics, since they been crying broke recently ( Just an assumption). Because this year alone I see TWO promotionals, and one OC within the same year. I've never seen TWO promotionals back to back like that before.
  6. You should've taken the cleaner title and you would have been able to take the promotional to Conductor if all else fails with the OC exam. It is way easier to get into conductor through a promotional than coming from an OC exam as an outsider. Promotionals get first dibs.
  7. Thanks for the info. It's for my cousin who was called in. He doesn't have a login for this site so I asked the question for him. I appreciate it @Youngnycsubwayfan
  8. @Youngnycsubwayfan Not sure if u covered this, quick question... If you had a license revoked about 10 years ago for failure to pay a fine, but it's currently NOT on your Abstract...should you put it on the application anyway? Or not?
  9. That's most likely why this new system is in place, because many conductors aren't understood. That just in my opinion though because I don't see why else. Unless it's a new scheme to pick and choose who they want and basically eliminate the "who scored the highest gets hired" system. This way they have an excuse not to hire certain people and have a legit excuse not to.
  10. Yea what I heard is that when they don't have vacancies in the Dept the person applied for, they start asking people if they want to go to the Cleaner position.
  11. Did u eventually get contacted? Did u apply for a cleaner position or did u apply for something else and they offered u cleaner instead? Because I've been hearing that happening often...
  12. This came from the Conductors exam application 6601. Go check it out for yourself. http://web.mta.info/nyct/hr/pdf/CorrectionForm.pdf
  13. http://web.mta.info/nyct/hr/pdf/CorrectionForm.pdf download the pdf file for the correction form and fax or email it to the number or email provided on the form.
  14. So it is true that there will be an oral proficiency test. Oral Proficiency Assessment: If you pass the multiple-choice test, you will be scheduled to take the qualifying oral proficiency assessment as vacancies occur. However, based on the projected number of vacancies, it is possible that not all candidates who pass the multiple-choice test will be scheduled for the qualifying oral proficiency assessment. A score of 70% is required to pass the qualifying oral proficiency assessment. You will be required to pay an additional fee of $25.00 prior to taking the oral proficiency assessment. Failure to pay the additional fee on the date that you are scheduled to take the oral proficiency assessment will result in disqualification from further participation in the appointment process. The additional fee for the oral proficiency assessment will be waived for candidates who demonstrate that they are unemployed or receiving public assistance at the time of the assessment. In the qualifying oral proficiency assessment, you may be required to demonstrate the following abilities: Oral Comprehension - The ability to understand spoken English words and sentences. Oral Expression - The ability to use English words or sentences in speaking so others will understand. Memorization - The ability to remember information, such as words, numbers, pictures, and procedures. Pieces of information can be remembered by themselves or with other pieces of information. Speed of Closure -The ability to combine and organize different pieces of information into one meaningful pattern quickly. It is not known beforehand what the pattern will be. The material may be visual or auditory.
  15. Any feedback on what to expect at the interview if one is called? Would the person have to come in for a second interview? Etc....
  16. I'm not sure exactly which questions I got wrong. I just know what numbers didn't match the answer key that was posted online. I'm sure there were questions I swore I had right but was obviously mistaken, because I didn't think for a minute that I had that amount wrong. I only assumed about 2 or 3 that I knew could've went either way, but not more than that. And I'm sadly mistaken ????
  17. I don't think she's correct and just making an assumption because they're still calling from a previous list. But be prepared before that regardless. You don't want to get caught with your pants down.
  18. http://web.mta.info/nyct/hr/proposed_answerkey.htm Yes, I think so...so for that I think we have to wait until the answer keys is moved to the "final answer key" section, instead of the "Proposed answer keys" section in which its in now. Let's see what happens...
  19. The answer keys are out. I got 5 wrong, smh I thought I got maybe 2 wrong. ????
  20. From what I read on the MTA site it said to give atleast four months after taking the test for results...from then on will be another waiting game...
