  1. Had a weird commute this morning okay so I'm on the 7:21 R42 (Z) getting ready to be at the RFW and this woman (not sure if she was TA) was holding up a sign saying 0721 (Z) and they were both laughing and one guy to a picture of it she said she wanted to let him no that he was an 7:21 (Z). The horrible thing is I didn't get to look out the RFW because the T/O I had was a training T/O so he had another T/O examine how he operated the train.

Edit: It was at Jamaica Center by the way

  2. Exactly... It's not helping anyone... If anything it'll confuse people even more seeing something like BKLN BRDG instead of BROOKLYN BRIDGE.

I don't know if it would confuse people it would confuse tourists maybe but not New Yorkers lots of people in this city use abbreviations I don't think it's all that bad.
  3. It wasn't in service. It turned out to be a Work Train. It was on FB and a T/O even said it wasn't in service plus the (G) runs OPTO on weekends including holidays that runs on weekends schedule

Yeah I saw it trolled the hell out of me I thought it was in service at that time I didn't see an R32 in service on the (G)eorge since 09

  4. Why would they? The R188s have 11 car trains specifically configured for the (7). If they send them onto other lines, they'll either render half of the train unusable, or they're going to leave a bunch of 6 car sets unused in the yard while all the 5 car sets troll the other lines. It would not make any sense to send the R188s elsewhere.

Well Its possible to see them on other lines they were built specifically for the (7) because the (7) is the first IRT line to have CBTC upgrades
  5. R188's were made for the (7) . I DOUBT any other line would need an R188, and since the computer has only the (7) announcements in it, according to a T/O.

I'm pretty sure we will see them on other lines like trainfan said that before nobody thought that R143s would go on other lines but the (L) but look what happened once other IRT lines are installed with CBTC they will probably move to other lines
  6. Didn't people say the G.O was to start early next year? What's the point of putting 32s on the (M) several months in advance?

If the (M) was to get 32s, odds are 32s would be put on the line a couple of weeks before the G.O starts...

I've heard that putting the R32s on the (M) is just on hold I wouldn't give up hope yet
  7. Due to signal problems at Queensboro Plaza, southbound (N) and (Q) trains are running with delays.

    Allow additional travel time.

Was just at Lexington ave 59st thought I was never going to leave the 60 st tube

there is tons of congestion between the (N)(Q) and (R) trains IMO opinion they should terminate some (Q) trains at 57-7 ave

  8. Ok, this is a bit more hard:

A major power failure has happened in Brooklyn leaving all of East Brooklyn without power starting from Broadway Junction.

    Reroute away!

(A): runs in 2 sections from Jay st metro tech to 207st Inwood and Rockaway Blvd to far rockaway shuttle buses provide service to jay st metro tech to Broadway Junction.

    (C): suspended

(J):runs on the (M) line to Metropolitan ave Shuttle buses (or the Q24) from Myrtle ave broadway to Jamaica Center.

    (L) all trains coming from Manhattan terminate at myrtle-wyckoff station shuttle buses from myrtle wyckoff to Canarsie rockaway parkway.
