  1. I don't see how and why they would complain, the issue was in the 70's when the 46's had the Rockwell trucks. A 46 or two makes it way down the Brighton every once in a while and I highly doubt anyone notices. There are very rare occasions when an (F) is re-routed via Brighton usually via (B) line.

The (F) gets rerouted to Brighton? When? Do you have footage I would love to see that footage
  2. IMHO I think they should just keep it simple and keep the R32s in ENY and 207 st yard because it would make no sense to put them on lines that are some of the most demanding but IMHO I think they should be split between Coney island yard and jamaica some R32s should be on the (B) or (W) trains since they are part time lines and Brighton riders will complain about R46s on the (B) because of vibration issues and the rest should go to Jamaica to go on the (F) (since the (E) riders would most likely complain)

  3. It's almost the same as the R62As. The only differences are that there were different builders and different signage for those cars, so I don't really see the problem. But that's me.

Na, There is no problem I just feel the R62as are better for the (1) the R62s have been having their bad moments on the (1) but no serious problems
  4. My point was that just because cars are prohibited from a section of line due to a clearance issue at one point in time does not mean that they always will be or for that matter that they still are. When GOs or bulletins are superceded or rescinded such is not automatically posted here. If there is determined to be a need to assign the R32 fleet to the B or D, such will happen, especially if the clearance issues in the Montague tunnel have been fixed.

It can happen it's very rare for a (B) or a (D) train to get rerouted over the montague tunnel expect for G.Os
  5. You're not thinking...I mean you were the one said the (B) is the least demanding line and doesn't have the issues that the other lines like the (2), (5), (N) and (W) lines...

Why do you think I said all the things that I've just said?

Yeah but where do you think those R68As on the (B) would go if they do send the R32s to coney island yard and the whole situation is a different story from the (2) and (5)
  6. So?

Going by "your" logic, the (MTA) would have never made both the (2) and (5) entirely NTTs to the reasons that I've said.

I don't know what kind of point you're trying to make, but whatever. If that's what you think, that's you.

You do make a good point about the (2) and (5) but that's kind of a different story we are talking about Coney island yard if the R32s do go to coney island yard you would have to put them somewhere
  7. Okay, and the (Q) doesn't have the issues that the (N) and (W) both have according to my previous post, right? As I said, chances are you would see some R68s and/or R68As back on the (Q) instead of the (N) and (W).

Also...what "requirement"? There are enough R160s to make both lines entirely NTTs once the five-car R179s come in. So I don't know where you are getting that from, but that's incorrect.

Like the (2) and (5), the (N) and (W) would have to share trains all the time due to their sharing of both northern terminal and yard/shop.

I'm saying that there is no requirement for them to be fully NTTS just because they share the same yard/shops and nothern terminal doesn't mean the have to share the same equipment they are not like the (J)(Z) where they run on the exact same line
  8. Softly speaking...you realize that both the (N) and (W) share the same northern terminal and are both based out of the same shop facility (yes shop facility), right? You need to make them entirely NTTs so they can share trains at any given time like the (2) and (5) do.

For the record, there are enough cars for a restored (W). The running time of the (Q) to/from SAS is less than to Astoria. They just need a bit more trainsets for Coney Island to fix that. That's why you wonder that the (MTA) included 4 trainsets of R179s being in five-car sets.

True that coney island yard needs a bit more train sets but there is no requirement for them to be fully NTT just like the SAS reroute on the (Q) so it is possible to see some SMEES on the (N) or (W)
  9. Coney Island makes the most sense. They are a heavy repair and maintance facility.

Yeah coney island yard would most likely put the R32s on the (B) if they are going to go to Coney Island yard because it is a part time line and their band from the (N) and (Q) because of tube issues
  10. They doin basically the same thing they did the day the derailment happened on the QBL)

They doin basically the same thing they did the day the derailment happened on the QBL, the (E) got rerouted, the (M) went to Chambers, and the (R) went to Jamaica (well I don't know if it is now)

The (R) went to Queenboroplaza or terminated at 57-7ave
  11. The R32's will get SMS again in 2018 and stay in the system until 2022.

The R32s are probably going to get new motors from older trains as part of the SMS I remember that's what they did with the R38s back in the early 2000s but there is nothing wrong with them structurally
  12. Same thing too. Remember that the R42s are a small fleet, so not everybody (myself included) mentions much about them, figuratively speaking. The R42s, like the R32s, will still be replaced by the R179s in general, however.

The R42s won't last structurally I'm kind of excited that this R179 order is delayed
