Service Change Posted: 09/23/2015 5:10PM
Due to FDNY Activity on the street level at E 213 and Jerome Av, there is no train service between Burnside Av andWoodlawn in both directions.
As an alternative, customers are advised to take the Bx10, Bx28 and Bx32 buses.
Allow additional travel time.
A tractor trailer not only got stuck under the el, the trailer was split in half while taking out an electrical cable sparking a fire. The fire was extinguished but they have no clue on how to take the truck out from under the el, and even then they have to assess any damage to the el *and* repair the cable and whatever else got damaged before restoring power north of Burnside, let alone train service.
Sounds serious hopefully they have power restored and the tractor trailer removed soon it's rush hour

Yeah I agree I would love to see R143s on QBL and 6 ave it would be nice to see something different on theAnd Even though I don't mind the being 100% R160, it would be refreshing to even see an R143 on that line. And come on, R143s on 6th Avenue and QBL. That would be AMAZING!!

I think you mean Mosholu Yard. E 180 St/Unionport is for the .
Yeah my bad tried to edit but the cite wouldn't let me I meant Jerome yard

They would go to theSo where would the NTTs on the go?

They should move those R62as to East 180 st yard for the you can't put any on the since it shares a terminal with the and it is required to be fully NTTSShould of moved some of Westchester (Coronas) R62A's to Livonia too. If mores coming in and Westchester can't handle it, send more 62A's to E. 180th or Livonia and put some R62A's on the rest of Lexington. Easier than giving it to another yard in the other side of the city and will less likely be in service unless put in service on the line the yard associated with (which is the for Livonia ) .

I agree maybe Westchester did not want to deal with those R62as I'm wondering if the crew at Westchester can stand the R62as

All I know is R42s can't run on the because of the conductor position I would definitely like to see R32s on the more than the R143sI wouldn't mind eaither an R143 or an R32 on the . And true the conductors position is different on the R32s and R32/42 conductor boards might have already been removed on QBL, 6th Ave and the 53rd Street cut.

A connection between the LIRR and the at the future subway station would be nice since the is not needed on QBL they should do something else with itThe G should never run to QB. Instead it should run to the future Sunnyside LIRR station or up 21 Avenue in Astoria.

My bad diggin the NTTS on the to but I'm not sure how I feel about R62as on theI was talking about the line and Im happy the has the NTTs. They belong on the .

Yup the crew is getting ready for the to become CBTC in 2017 so get used to see the converted R142as more on the the R62as will all probably be off the line way before it's CBTCWhat I meant was theres a handfull of R142As in service and only about five R62As in service this weekend. Im guessing is more about convenience of modern equipment if you get my drift.

Okay makes sense well I've could of definitely caught them and did some railfanning if my camera wasn't so f**ked upTwo four car sets. Since the Court Sq to Bedford Nostrands Av section was short on trains and that it had no access to C.I yard. Jamaica loaned two four car R46s to the . They also ran the entire route once service got restored.

Was it a rerouted or did it run the entire route? You got any photos or videos of it?Two R46s ran on the today. It was nice to ride them since I havent rode one since 2010 or 2011.

I have a proposal for the
The would start at Norwood-205 Street, go through Concourse, at 167 Street, a new tunnel will be made for 3rd Avenue stopping at 161st Street, 149 Street (connect to ), 125th Street-Second Avenue. Then after Grand Street, train will go to Canal Street (uptown stops on the Abandoned platform) then thru Broad Street, via Montague Street Tunnel, 4th Avenue Local, to 9th Avenue. Late nights to Chambers Street. Trains would use R160's in 8 car sets(cause everyone knows the R179s won't come anytime soon )
IMO they should just keep it simple and stick to the original plan I doubt that they would have enough trains to make that possible either and if the purpose of the is to relieve the congestion off of Lexington than it will have to use more than 8 cars. Also what Chambers St station are you talking about exactly?

That dispatcher is in deep trouble I remember last year when they accidentally send the over the lineToday the dispatcher accidentally sent the up to Harlem-148th St instead of going to the Bronx.

True, but it's been sitting there for a while I hope that they do put it in serviceTA workers always troll with the signs on NTT cars in the yard... a while back I seen a 143 signed up as the express to Utica in Carasrie Yard.

There is an R143 sitting in ENY signed up as an I'm wondering if they will put in service

I recall the R44s and R46s not being able to become mixed sets because there were A and B cars in the R44's and the R46's. There were couplers at both ends of these cars so they were single cars rather than married pairs.

I have heard that the mixed set of R32s and R42s was pretty normal back then lots of trains suffered from dead motors back than and there would be alot of mixed setsLook at the roofs of the first two cars compared to the rest of the train.. Its a 42 set tacked on to some 32s, that kinda thing was common back then. I'm sure if you look hard enough there's a couple more photos of 32s and 42s running in mixed sets prior to GOH, after GOH they only mixed the 32s with 38s and 42s with 40M...
Its eight cars, the last car is under the underpass but you can see its shadow..
