    Service Change Posted: 08/22/2015 12:58PM

Due to switch problems at Briarwood, the following service changes are in effect:

There are no e.png trains between Forest Hills-71 Av and Parsons Blvd-Archer Av in both directions.

There are no f.png trains between Forest Hills-71 Av and Jamaica-179 St.

For service to Jamaica Center, customers can take the Q60 bus making nearby station stops.

For service to 179 St, customers can take the Q60 to the Q43 or Q44 buses.

    Allow additional travel time.

Imagine this happening on a weekday. :o

It would be brutal especially during rush hour
  2. (1) 242 St to 34 St

    (2) via Lex

    (3) suspended

    (4) extended to New Lots stopping at Nostrand & Kingston

    (A) 207 St to 34 St via local, Chambers St to Brooklyn/Queens via local

    (B) suspended

    (C) suspended

    (D) 205 St to 34 St, Bway-Lafayette to Brooklyn

    (E) Jamaica Center to Lex-53

    (F) via Crosstown

    (M) Metropolitan Av to Chambers St

Lex-53 st can be a terminal?

  3. Basically ENY is using anything set of equipment to put on the (J) to make up milage. A few R160s are out for CBTC work so they can add extra trains to the (L) in December. It's true that the original plan was to sent the (V) up to Metro and eliminate (M) service but the costumers would be more comfortable with an (M) designation than an (V) so the decided to send the (M) up to Forest Hills

  4. IMG_20150821_163449_zpso1mjoiyt_edit_144

Power outage at 207 st yard and 207 st between 168 st station all of the (A) and (C) trains there for maintaince and everything and the (A)'s between 207 st and 168 st are trapped there just before AM rush hour shortage of trains,Reroute away

  5. Ridership on the Brown (M) was very low except for on the Jamaica El. Ridership on the (V) was very low the (MTA) was going through a financial crisis so they decided to cut some subway lines that weren't really useful so the (MTA) decided to send the (M) to QBL to replace the (V) so that riders from Broadway,Brooklyn can connect to Midtown Manhattan. The Brown (M) was a nearly abandoned line that wasn't very useful as so as the (V).

  6. A fire breaks out at Forest Hills 71 - Ave and 57 St - 7 Ave. The whole station is in Engulfed in flames and this will take at least a month to fix.

    Reroute Away!

    (E) shuttle buses between Jamaica Center to Queens Plaza then regular (E) service from queens plaza to WTC some queens bound (E) trains run on the (C) line to 168 st

    (F) Shuttle buses between 21 st queensbridge and jamaica 179 st then regular service from 21 st queensbridge to coney island Stillwell ave

    (M) metropolitan ave to Chambers st via the (J) line

    (N) Whitehall st to coney island yard costumers can use (N) shuttle buses to Whitehall st to Lexington ave 59 St (N) shuttle train service from Lex 59 St to Astoria Ditmars

    (Q) trains can terminate at Times square 42 st to Coney Island

    (R) Whitehall st st to 95 st trains terminate at local track

  7. Depends on how bad the switch is...

    (D) Norwood to 2nd Avenue, 36th Street to Coney Island

    (N) Astoria to Whitehall, 36 Street to Coney Island

    (R) Forest Hills to Prospect Park, 59th Street to Bay Ridge

    Shuttle Buses operate as follows:

Jay Street-Metrotech to 36th Street via Jay Street, Livingston Street, Flatbush Avenue, 4th Avenue.

(Before I get shot down, I extended the (R) to Prospect so people can get a transfer to the (F) at Jay St for (D) service, and there could still be somewhat of a transfer from Atlantic Avenue to the (R), then the (D) and (N).)

    Why would that matter...

Just curious, Anyway (N) I think the create (N) shuttle service between 59 St in Brooklyn and coney island and have trains terminate at whitehall st (on the express track)

    (D) I agree with you (except have trains run local)

    (R) Short turn some trains at whitehall Street to provide decent service to queens, shuttle service between 59 St and 95 st

  8. Since no one has posted on this for over a month...

Derailment on the northbound (N) train while it was leaving Atlantic Avenue. The switches changed at the last minute, and the train derailed instantly.

    Reroute away.

Was it an R160 or R68/A
  9. IMO here's what I think should happen if some (E) and (F) trains are running local due to track work they should terminate some (R) trains at 57-7 ave and send some over the (F) line to jackson heights roosevelt ave that way there would be less delays along QBL and (N) and (Q) trains won't have to run at slower speeds through the 60 st tube to make room for (R) trains

  10. Trains from Brooklyn cannot terminate at 2 Av and the (A) doesn't need help from another line in neither Manhattan or Brooklyn overnight. But if you yourself insist. *shrugs*

Yeah my mistake I wasn't thinking and yeah the (A) does need help in Brooklyn overnights not Manhattan because you have alternates to help the (A) out
  11.

That's correct. The (C) would be the overnight Lefferts shuttle. However, it doesn't need to run its full route overnight because subway ridership overnight isn't as high as during the day.

Yeah,They should extend the (C) out to somewhere In Manhattan like 2 av on the (F) to help out the (A) in Brooklyn late nights.

  12. So let me get this straight

So starting in January the (M) is going to be mostly old cars such as the R32's and R42's.

The (C) line is going to be most if not all R160A's

The (J) and (Z) is going to be half and half R32's and R160's

I don't think R42s can run on the (M) because of the c/r position but you will see some R143s
  13. Somebody said that the (M) isn't going to see any R32's anymore.

It's been said straight out of RTO management that R32s are going to hit the (M) next month and they also want some R32s on the (M) because of the myrtle ave El nect year construction I also heard that R143s are going to hit the (M) to
  14. R46 on the (B)... Interesting... However, are they even banned from the line or it's okay to operate?

Na, I don't think they are banned from the line anymore back in the day the people on Brighton did complain about them because of vibration issues but that's when they had the Rockwell trucks
  15. Why do you need footage? It has happened because I've seen it not been told but SEEN it. The (F) very seldom gets re-routed via Brighton, you'd be surprised the things I've SEEN without having camera on hand or cellular device such as R46 (C) re-routed via Concourse also 32 C this was about 3-4 years ago. The things I've heard are different.

I'm just asking I like seeing rare things
  16. IMHO here's what I think should happen when the R179s come in at ENY and 207 st yard

    (A) R179, R46, (with an occasional R32)

    (B) R68A, R46

    (C) all R160, a few R32s

    (D) R68 with some R68A

    (E) all R160 (would say R32s but the riders would most likely complain)

    (F) R160 with some R32s

    (G) all R46s

    (J)/(Z) all R160 with some R179 and R143s

    (L) R143, R160

    (M) all R160

    (N) R160s, a few R68As

    (Q)R179,R160,some R68s

    ®R46,R160

    (W)R160, R32s

The (A) will have R179s so IMO they should push those R46s to coney island yard for the (B) and (G) this is my theory don't take it to seriously
