It would be brutal especially during rush hourService Change Posted: 08/22/2015 12:58PM
Due to switch problems at Briarwood, the following service changes are in effect:
There are no trains between Forest Hills-71 Av and Parsons Blvd-Archer Av in both directions.
There are no trains between Forest Hills-71 Av and Jamaica-179 St.
For service to Jamaica Center, customers can take the Q60 bus making nearby station stops.
For service to 179 St, customers can take the Q60 to the Q43 or Q44 buses.
Allow additional travel time.
Imagine this happening on a weekday.

Basically ENY is using anything set of equipment to put on the to make up milage. A few R160s are out for CBTC work so they can add extra trains to the in December. It's true that the original plan was to sent the up to Metro and eliminate service but the costumers would be more comfortable with an designation than an so the decided to send the up to Forest Hills

Ridership on the Brown was very low except for on the Jamaica El. Ridership on the was very low the was going through a financial crisis so they decided to cut some subway lines that weren't really useful so the decided to send the to QBL to replace the so that riders from Broadway,Brooklyn can connect to Midtown Manhattan. The Brown was a nearly abandoned line that wasn't very useful as so as the .

R40 slants did run on the

It did use an R40 slant in 2005Nope. The never used slants nor R68s and its last days it used R46s and R160s. I actually took pictures of the line during its last days.

On its last days the had mostly R32s and R46s with a couple of R160s since the was a part time line Jamaica yard didn't worry about the having NTTS to much and the didn't have an R40 slant or and R38 since 2005 when it got rerouted to the line

Alright I'll try something, derailment at Grant ave the N/B derailed on a switch just as it was pulling into grant ave during rush hour

Just curious, Anyway I think the create shuttle service between 59 St in Brooklyn and coney island and have trains terminate at whitehall st (on the express track)Depends on how bad the switch is...
Norwood to 2nd Avenue, 36th Street to Coney Island
Astoria to Whitehall, 36 Street to Coney Island
Forest Hills to Prospect Park, 59th Street to Bay Ridge
Shuttle Buses operate as follows:
Jay Street-Metrotech to 36th Street via Jay Street, Livingston Street, Flatbush Avenue, 4th Avenue.
(Before I get shot down, I extended the to Prospect so people can get a transfer to the at Jay St for service, and there could still be somewhat of a transfer from Atlantic Avenue to the , then the and .)
Why would that matter...
I agree with you (except have trains run local)
Short turn some trains at whitehall Street to provide decent service to queens, shuttle service between 59 St and 95 st

Was it an R160 or R68/ASince no one has posted on this for over a month...
Derailment on the northbound train while it was leaving Atlantic Avenue. The switches changed at the last minute, and the train derailed instantly.
Reroute away.

IMO here's what I think should happen if some and trains are running local due to track work they should terminate some trains at 57-7 ave and send some over the line to jackson heights roosevelt ave that way there would be less delays along QBL and and trains won't have to run at slower speeds through the 60 st tube to make room for trains

Yeah my mistake I wasn't thinking and yeah the does need help in Brooklyn overnights not Manhattan because you have alternates to help the outTrains from Brooklyn cannot terminate at 2 Av and the doesn't need help from another line in neither Manhattan or Brooklyn overnight. But if you yourself insist. *shrugs*

That's correct. The would be the overnight Lefferts shuttle. However, it doesn't need to run its full route overnight because subway ridership overnight isn't as high as during the day.
Yeah,They should extend the out to somewhere In Manhattan like 2 av on the to help out the in Brooklyn late nights.

IMO the should be extended to Lefferts that way the can have less work to do and you can increase service to far rockaway while you can have some (A)'s help the Rockaway park out. Also when the becomes nearly full of NTTs it should run over night

I don't think R42s can run on the because of the c/r position but you will see some R143sSo let me get this straight
So starting in January the is going to be mostly old cars such as the R32's and R42's.
The line is going to be most if not all R160A's
The and is going to be half and half R32's and R160's

It's been said straight out of RTO management that R32s are going to hit the next month and they also want some R32s on the because of the myrtle ave El nect year construction I also heard that R143s are going to hit the toSomebody said that the isn't going to see any R32's anymore.
0 -
Yeah I've heardSo maybe it shouldn't be a big deal then if 46's don't have those trucks.
Oh, and on another note, the passengers and rider adovacy groups are really starting to get fed up of the R32's now.

Na, I don't think they are banned from the line anymore back in the day the people on Brighton did complain about them because of vibration issues but that's when they had the Rockwell trucksR46 on the ... Interesting... However, are they even banned from the line or it's okay to operate?

I'm just asking I like seeing rare thingsWhy do you need footage? It has happened because I've seen it not been told but SEEN it. The very seldom gets re-routed via Brighton, you'd be surprised the things I've SEEN without having camera on hand or cellular device such as R46 re-routed via Concourse also 32 C this was about 3-4 years ago. The things I've heard are different.

IMHO here's what I think should happen when the R179s come in at ENY and 207 st yard
R179, R46, (with an occasional R32)
R68A, R46
all R160, a few R32s
R68 with some R68A
all R160 (would say R32s but the riders would most likely complain)
R160 with some R32s
all R46s
(J)/(Z) all R160 with some R179 and R143s
R143, R160
all R160
R160s, a few R68As
(Q)R179,R160,some R68s
®R46,R160
(W)R160, R32s
The will have R179s so IMO they should push those R46s to coney island yard for the and this is my theory don't take it to seriously
