All I am saying is do not raise the fare, I think nice can afford to do maintence without fare hikes, how about nice stop collecting profits and operate & make zero profits & keep bus fare the same affordable price, the $2.50 cash fare I pay is a record high. Many people especially seniors are complaining they can't afford the $1.35 now.

Most riders who use nice bus don't make a lot of money, we can only afford $2.50. Public transportation is supposed to be cheap, I shouldn't have to pay a fare hike because nice needs more money to repairs there buses, don't do the maintence then, it is not required just keep running the buses.

Tom I am a bus rider, myself & other bus riders can not afford another fare hike. $2.75 is plenty. Let nice get the money they need for bus maintence from other sources. Public transit is about low affordable cash fares. If the fare goes to $3 a ride now that somebody has to decide between a bus ride or taking food off the table. I watched the video of the libru members walking across 8 lanes of traffic, just to get to the hearing. & tell nice don't raise the fare. Libru union works for the riders to keep us with quality buses & to preserve & maintain bus schedules. They either hard for us,

I saw a RTS from Jamaica depot on the Q44 last week. I also see many short buses on the 44 also, I thought it's a artic route so why so many short buses?

Long Island bus riders union is trying to stop nice bus from raising the bus fare. The also keep 165th & Hempstead bus terminal & N20- N21 flushing bus terminal bus riders up to date with bus schedules. They are also working to change the location of meetings elsewhere.

Do nice bus have any school trippers for the local community schools? Most nyc schools have mta buses acting like school buses .

I hear people get on the N20 on the nice bus system & tell the driver they have no money & the passenger takes a seat so basically a free ride? My question is does that I don't have any money can I get a ride happen on metro north or the Lirr? Does the conductor say sure take a seat like the bus driver does

If metro north or Lirr has stops within nyc I think nyc residents should be able to pay the subway price of $2.75 or use there unlimited, in queens Lirr wants $8.50 for off peak.

With all the buses mta is scraping why can't mta just donate the buses to nice ?

Nice has there own fishbowl? Really? Id love to take a ride if they every put it in service, on a side note, does mta have any fishbowl buses left in any of there depots?

Saw bus 1595 on the N20 tonight it sounded like a raddle box from the outside imagine the inside.

I think mta should give unused rts buses to nice bus. It would be nice to see a rts on the N20 line.

9 lanes in each direction? That is very dangerous & unheard of, li should in the name of pesteredian safety make it 3 lanes each way one bike lane & remove the turning lanes .

A random thought : the buses mta are going to scrap maybe they should donate to nice bus. Nice buses are in really bad shape & are littered with trash fast food wrappers & bags, beer cans, large soda cups, the floors are sticky from all the soda spills, & a bad smell of pee pee in the back door staircase.

I see people bring shopping carts on the bus, mostly senior citizens & bus driver tells them they cant come on & they choose to ingore the driver, if the shopping cart egts loose & tips over or hurts a passenger, it would be the person's fault who brought the cart on, I saw a N20 driver call bus command center once & he didnt move the bus untill the person emptied the shopping cart, we were all upset because now the bus was late.

I think the public hearing should be on a satur day or Sunday morning when most people are off, & select the place at a locAtion where major bus lines connect, & where the bus stop is right in front of the bldg. people should not have to cross 8 lanes of a busy hwy just to get to a meeting. I only saw a few people on the news report crossing the street to get to the meeting, where was everybody else? If nice posted " public hearing " signs on the buses that a hearing was coming up I would have came with libru, & i would give them many reasons why not to raise the fare. The riders shouldn't have to pay more because maintence costs are going up... That's not my problem, I saw the video of bus 1608 that bus is a classic one of my favorites

Many bus riders have no way to get to nice bus headquarters because the N27 bus hardly runs, & riders feel it is unsafe to cross old country rd that leads to the head quarters. I watched the news12 video these long islad bus riders union people looked scared to cross a street, I only hear of Long Island bus riders union people going to these nice bus meetings, if the meetings we're held in 165 terminal or Hempstead transit center more riders can express there views on the company & fare increase. Bus riders can not afford another fare hike. We are paying sky high rates already. If they did the meeting at 165th terminal Hempstead transit center I am sure nice can rent out a nice office room.

Why is the meetings held at nice bus headquarters anyway? Why can't the meetings be held at the Hempstead transit center or 165st terminal or flushing Main Street (N20-N21) by having the meetings in a area most of the bus riders can access maybe more peolle Will voice theee opinions,

Yes Joel the jaywalking is so bad. On Main Street & Roosevelt ave in flushing just flushing in general the jay walking has gotten so bad I think jay walkers should be subject to a ticket. We need a law for jay walkers.

Which is more important, people crossing the street safely or traffic flowing at highway speed with no traffic lights? If you want to drive highway speed than take the highway.

I think Long Island roads should be 25 MPH like all nyc roads, & the key in reducing speed is reducing the amount of lanes, if they made Hempstead turnpike & sunrise hwy two lanes each & one bike / walking lane speed would be reduced, famous did you know if a person gets hit by a car going 20 MPH there is a 75% chance he/ she will live as speed goes over 25mph there is a 90% chance you won't make it. NYC vision zero should go to NY state it is saving lives.

Most Long Island roads are not people friendly, most major roads are like highways with 4 to 8 lanes of traffic to cross without a walk signal, maybe that walk to nice bus head quarters will show the public how dangerous li roads are to cross , I support traffic signals having red lights at both sides so people can safely cross on green without worrying a turning car will hit them.

Famous, would you & the Long Island bus riders union be able to find a bus that is pulling Into the bus depot maybe that would be easier than taking N27 bus or walking along a dangerous 8 lane highway that doesn't have walk signals, remember safety comes first. One nice female cute nice bus driver offered me a ride on her bus she had a pull in trip from flushing she take lie I took her offer & her her drop me off at Springfield blvd & she gave me free transfer back to flushing I took q27 it was a great experience riding on a empty bus & famous is public hearing open to the general public it is it only Long Island bus rider union members? I would like to show nice bus how filty & dirty the busses are. Honestly a ride is not worth $2.50

The news video reported that riders had no other way to get to nice headquarters so walking was only option. If N27 is available why would they all walk? Long Island bus riders union does stand up for the passengers. I think nice bus shouldn't raise the fare, how will peolle On Long Island be able to afford the extra 25 cents?

How much did nice say they want to raise fare too? We can't afford another fare hike, does the buses really need maintence? Just keep running them they should be fine, many people who live on li don't want the bus fare to go up. $2.50 is a good price for a ride.
