Graffiti seems to be making a gradual comeback on or in the trains, IMO.

Thats one area were the R179s thrive on, when it comes to there heating system and the quality audio announcements. If by some chance I'm ever in the Rockaways or at Howard-JFK waiting for an in frigid cold weather Im damn sure hoping for a R179 lol. Those R68s are NOT my go to trains during the winter only and I'd assume some of you know why. The heating on the R142s are toasting no doubt about that, so it doesn't surprise me the amount of homelessness sheltering on those trains.

Not just on these particular features but alot of other stuff too. Like the LED side signs on the R142's and R188's for a example. How is it that only one car on a R142 has those signs but the other linked cars don't, and for years now R188 7501-7505/7506-7510 has had those LED signs as well but the other units, nothing. Someone could probably just say "There just testing them out temporarily" but it's been years now with the R188 consist which I mentioned before, having those "experimental" LED signs. Maybe they can update the side signs on the current NTT's to something similar the R211's have on the side signs with the proper LED color bullet route sign.

If this becomes a common occurrence (God forbid) this city is in for a new dark era. The homeless situation around the has gotten worse and worse and worse....... SMH very toxic environment to say the least. Almost every station uptown on the is full of junkies and homeless on both ends of the platform. It's something that has truly surpassed what I've seen in my life. It is crazy & toxic and in my opinion it's despicable that this bs has gone on and on. What is our beloved city or state doing about this? Were is all this rhetoric of "more cops on station platforms and train cars? They've become soo focused on telling people what to do...... to wear a mask, get vaccinated or face consequences like (losing your job) but there's no immediate action on treating the homeless-mental health crisis. My time on the subway has become limited within this last year alone. I don't even bother with it especially on weekends. It's become a jungle. I only hope and praying for my loved ones whenever they have to ride the subway for work or anything else that they making there safe.

I saw a picture of this as well. SMH Unreal! The fact that these were teens allegedly, makes me continue losing hope and patience for what suppose to be the "future" of our society. This younger generation needs a better direction of utilizing their time and productivity. Learn trades, learn culinary. Be useful to help your family and yourself to a better way of life. Stop doing dumb stupid bulls*** like vandalizing & destroying city property.

Also all those single sets do have their bench seating's still intact.

Just wanted to point out, earlier this evening I saw R62A 1911-15 coupled with single cars 1921-1937-1910-1930-1925-(recently SMS'ed) going south on the probably coming from 207th yard. Now originally I suspected those 5 car-single units to be used as spares for the 42nd Shuttle. But since it was coupled with a Westchester yard set, probably safe to assume that it's a new 5-car set for use on the .

With the and being out of commission until further notice, you could expect see a more of them show up on the BMT Broadway lines.

The first 5 car R211s (4060-4064) have been out and about along the doing clearance testing. Rolling thru Manhattan territory for the first time I believe, this evening.

R211 4060-4064 was testing on the Rockaway Test track today, under its own power.

If anyone happens to pass by C.I. yard on the between C.I. Stillwell Ave & 86th St, you'll get a glimpse of the R211s end signed up as a . Currently alongside the "veterans" R46 & R160.

The have a ying & yang scenario equipment wise these days with the R46's and R160s.
