500k is not necessarily the mark for retirement. With the RTSs running for 20-22 years, they definitely accumulated way more mileage than that. Plus, there were some OGs, namely 2004-05 ones in Brooklyn, that hit over 600k around four-five years before retirement.
As of yesterday, all Base Order XDE40s once assigned to Quill are now in service at Manhattanville. The last one to go into service at Manhattanville was 9599, after being fixed up for a couple months.
Mother Clara Hale has all but three of their XDE40s. Once they (and 9416) arrive, the XDE40 order will be complete.
Meanwhile, all but three of Quill's base units (9590-9619) are at Manhattanville. The ones that aren't there yet are 9599, 9607, 9610.
Very interesting. I counted around 14-15 LFS HEVs, and around 27 LFS Diesels in this photo, give or take a few units. There were also a couple more units, but I could not determine what those will be yet.
Out of Quill’s Next Gens, only five have made it into the month of May. 10 Next Gens from Hale made it into May, but only five of which are pushing strong. (These are all 2008s btw)
Is anyone aware of the status of 4271? It was last seen in service on 3/22, and the last time I saw it (4/5/22), it was in the MHV lot next to four 2008 Next Gens which were later scrapped.
