  1. Hmm, that's odd. Probably something to do with a template they use.
  2. A mysterious accident causes every 28th Street station to be closed, with all local tracks impassable for an unknown amount of time. Express tracks are okay, as are lines with no stop at 28th Street. Stations affected: 28th Street [theoretically 33rd Street and 23rd street as well] 28th Street [theoretically 18th Street and 23rd Street as well] 28th Street [theoretically 23rd Street as well]
  3. Run , trains to Lawrence Street Run , on express over bridge to Atlantic Ave Terminate at 2nd Avenue Run express shuttle along Brighton line from Brighton Beach to Prospect Park to help with capacity.
  4. Just got an overhead announcement on at 57th Street that said "To be courteous to our fellow passengers we are awaiting the connection across the track" - is that something regular now? Never seen it done before.
  5. The Mets' total attendance in 2016 was 2.79 million - a lot of people take the train to get there. Add the park, and the US open (and other tennis events), and the few hundred people coming every day to get to work, and 2.12 million does not seem unreasonable.
  6. Well, I just got stuck on an in queens because someone pulled the Emergency Break...
  7. It would be incredibly difficult to make Columbus Circle express. You'd have to effectively shut down service on the for months at a time, and completely reroute tracks, or make trains bypass 66th and 50th while on the local track, which is pointless, confusing, and would lead to incredible traffic and delays. Also, you should definitely add 125th St to that list, it's a major station and the line shouldn't go 60 blocks without stopping. The current system works very well, since almost everyone commuting is commuting into Manhattan (or vice versa in the PM), and trains come frequently enough that it isn't a pain.
  8. Well, they're more likely to be found at terminals, where workers check the generally empty cars and it's easier to tell if someone's sleeping or dead - and either way, it's their job to wake them whereas passengers kind of don't care
  9. Pardon my ignorance, but does anyone know when station ridership data for 2016 will be released?
  10. Was just at Atlantic Avenue platform, appear to be people working on track and signal boxes - while trains continue running as normal. Don't know why.
  11. At this point, we're still assuming December as the date it will be finished, correct?
  12. From the looks of things as you go past, two years is very, very generous.
  13. An on the ground report from 86th street: escalator testing has begun.
  14. It is amusing to be on a crowded train to Times Square and see everyone get out, leaving you as the only person going to Hudson Yards, though.
