  1. I was number 3 or 4 by the elevator and i damn sure was 4 when i signed in. That cutting me in line don't fly with me. Think of it as a preparation for some rude straphangers 😂!!
  2. It doesn't boggle my mind at all. You have people making over $200k a year as high functioning coke heads on wall st. Depending on what they failed the drug test for. Marijuana will be legal in NY state soon and not just medicinally. Opioids lotta people got on that and has been hard for them to get off.
  3. Gotcha like i thought. So same amt then? Weekend differential and night differential is the same. Thanks
  4. I hope you're wrong and night differential is daily and weekend differential is on the weekend. I guess i will have to ask them. Or somebody starting class can ask them. I'm pretty sure Ot doesn't get compounded with night and or weekend differential i wish my job did so 💰
  5. So minimum $2.22 . Starting at 6pm is 🔥 at max pay it's minimum $3.15 or so. Also weekends differential as i understand it starts at 6pm Friday til 6am Monday. That's wassup. Still curious if more or the same as night differential. At my job night differential starts at 8pm every night. I work weekends. No weekend differential. All these things add up and will determine what path i choose. Thanks for the info 🖒
  6. They also were going off a list that was 9 yrs old. 10 yrs for that list. They also hired a large amount of conductors past yr. Again i'm curious where they got up to on that 8094 list and how quickly they got to 2,000's and beyond. Myself it's looking like ima likely pass on the job. There will be others to also pass and or not pass medical. That will help speed things up. I'm just being realistic.
  7. Tbh there is no reason to schedule opa's for people 5,000 and up anytime soon. Someone posted they were hiring what about 300 or so conductors per year? A list that was established 10yrs ago would have to see up to where they got in three years. If i was to get hired in early 2020 at number 1900's that would be a nice pace.
  8. Still curious if anyone knows weekend differential? Is if the same as night time differential? What is the rate for night time differential and when does it begin? I believe someone answered the last question. However if so i forgot the amount. Any help is appreciated 💯
  9. Im 500 back of u same score. You must have a 0 or at most 1 as a 5th soc sec#.
  10. Someone said it already. Virtually no job truly cares about you. Most places workers are expendable in their eyes. Take the promotion. Fact is you nor no one truly knows when you will get called. Things can happen fail the medical etc. Wish the best for everyone but your job can't knock you for it. Just give two weeks notice if you do start as conductor down the line.
  11. On pace for $93k with bump probably more. But they might hire someone else in dept. That will suck i need my ot.
  12. Local 6 here. My starting pay was about $26 per hr. Doormen about the same. They max out at $35.50 i think this july. Not much tips but holiday time they get $11-$15k bonus from residents. Also some ot and most work holidays to get that extra 9 days paid. Brings up 90k-$110k most some more. Why you leaving?? That's a good gig.
  13. I got doormen at my job making $90-$110k some maybe more it's a job that none of em wanna leave.
  14. Speaking of which im going to buy a car tomorrow a 2015 q50 28k miles $18k. Good deal?? I can relate. Mta has good benefits. Better pension than most places. Ot seems pretty good and good benefits. I would be leaving a good job and an over $100k job come 2019. A close to $100k job this yr. Good luck in whatever u decide. This is a nice informative forum. Lotta helpful people on here. Much success to all of you. 🤞👍👍💰💰

  16. Thanks for this^ my first full year at my job 2017 i grossed $74k. And u get paid more than conductors slightly i think. This yr im headed towards $93k with a 10% bump in July putting me at $30 per hr and we fighting for more. I support all unions btw lol. Max pay this yr i would surpass $115k easily. If i get the pre employment letter. I will speak at length with the person. My Cousin or Uncle makes over $130k at the Mta but hes an Electrician Supervisor.
  17. Yea passed it too. I go to 85% at my job in July to $30.50 or so and we're fighting for $32.00 Now if i get hired 2020 im at 100pct pay then prob about $38 then with ot kicking in after 35hrs. Im on pace for making $93k this yr. Not including my bump in July. Gonna be hard to leave that. Same pace in 2020 would easily be over $120k. Just pension is 1,200 per mo and mta much more. I get free lunches at work and some comp nights at hotels worldwide. Just that pension that has me interested.
  18. Got my opa passed both parts list number 1920 or so. Idk if ima take the job but seems like they will hire 200 people for now.
  19. I hope it doesnt i drive to the city for work Saturday and Sunday and holidays. Trains suck on the weekends and late at night sometimes.
