So now, R143 8121 has LCD ad panels like the 211! (Not the rectangular one on the window like the modified 160s, but the square one on the wall next to the door panels. Four per car. The next car didn't lave them).

    you got a picture ?

The (G) train stops at the front of the platform towards Court Sq, and rear of the platform towards Church Avenue which are where the exits are for the (L) , so I don't see how its different from what they have now.

On the Queens side , it stops before the first 2 staircases that everyone is used to and vice versa on the church Ave side , it takes a couple seconds longer to reach the (L) now but it’s nothing too crazy

I rode the SIR today and they built a whole new barn just for the R211s. The facility looks to be pretty much complete. The current SI R44 fleet is serviced in a shed like building. I hope the 44s get to be maintained in the new barn before they are retired. They are loud and rough riding, complete opposite of the NYCT R44s when they was running.

I hope the SI R211 have the WABCO AA2 horn which is equipped on the SI R44s, NYCT work diesels and the PA5s.

    Any pictures ?

There is a Siemens R160 operating on the (G) so far yesterday. So, Crosstown line is another portion that had a Siemens R160 over there. Currently, they are on the Queens Blvd, 6 and 8 Av lines, and Broadway with somewhat of Brighton. They had been on the Sea Beach and Fulton/Rockaways line back then.

    I caught it this morning

So it turned out the R143 going to Jamaica was for a power wash. I'm surprised they ran something along the IND line all the way to Jamaica for a power wash when they could've easily ran it to Coney Island. Not going to complain since it is running along tracks it doesn't usually ever run.

As for the R211 transferring to Pitkin Yard, it was true. Shame they couldn't run under their own power, but we'll probably see it maybe this weekend or sometime soon at least. Next unit should be transferring tomorrow around the same time it did today around 7:30.

the 211 is transferring there for testing right ?

Technology seems to spread around as on the NYC Subway, you may see if your train is crowded or not. My guess is that Lexington Av will be the first to be observed with this feature.

google is real late with this
