 express service comes back May 3rd

There are major delays and multiple impacts to   train service because of a switch malfunction at 59 St-Columbus Circle.

There is no  train service between 7 Av and 145 St.

Southbound  trains are running on the express track from 125 St to Canal St.

The last stop on some  and  trains will be 96 St.

Expect delays in  service in both directions.

I doubt they'll use 8 car R179's during this GO. It's going up concourse which has very heavy ridership meaning 100% full length trains. It'll likely be a mixure of R46's that the uses now and R68/R68A's from the lines. Maybe they'll slip two or more full length R179's from the (Hardly doubt it because it'll confuse line crews).

Is there a major difference between the 8-car 179s vs the 10-car 179s , operational-wise ?

in the case of the  and this GO, they would have had to run the night  service to Lefferts and have a shuttle run the Far Rockaway portion. This GO just goes to show how low ridership is on weekends now that the MTA can get away with running only two routes on Central Park west. Otherwise they would have ran the  from 205 St to World Trade Center or 2 Av

Do you think ridership would be enough that the  would run full length ?

In Brooklyn, northbound trains are only running from Brighton Beach to Prospect Park, the last stop.

Any trains that have passed Prospect Park will run on the  line from Canal St to Times Sq-42 St, the last stop.

Northbound trains that depart from Coney Island-Stillwell Av are running on the line from to Broadway-Lafayette St.

Trains that are in Brooklyn and have already departed will run on the  line from DeKalb Av to 57 St-7 Av and then on the  line to 96 St, the last stop.

Some northbound trains are running on the  line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to DeKalb Av.

The stations and track between Myrtle Ave and Broadway Junction are some of the oldest in the system, dating back to the late 1800's.

We are trying to restore these stations and track, so no service will run between Myrtle Av and Broadway Junction.

Because of this, service is going to be changed differently depending on the time.

•  trains will run via the  to Middle Village - Metropolitan Avenue,making express stops west of Myrtle Ave.

•  trains will run between Metropolitan Av and Broad Street, and will be labeled as  trains.

you mean stops between Marcy & Myrtle or between Myrtle & Metropolitan ?

What’s the difference between the R211A & R211S besides the obvious of the former going to the B-Division and the latter heading to SIR ?

What happened with those LCD displays the MTA was testing on the  ? Been seeing them a lot recently but I only ever seen them on about 3yrs ago when they first started testing.

 service is temporarily suspended between Queensboro Plaza and 74 St-Broadway while NYPD responds to several people on the tracks between 46 St-Bliss St and 52 St.

For service between Queensboro Plaza and 74 St-Broadway, see a station agent and receive a courtesy pass for continuing service.

Consider taking Q32, Q53-SBS, and Q60 bus service.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, consider taking  trains.

Would it be possible to connect the tracks at Fulton St  to the local tracks at Atlantic Av  or are the two stations too close together ? ( hypothetical question )

 train service is part-suspended and rerouted while emergency teams respond to someone who was struck by a train at Ocean Pkwy.

There is no  service between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av in both directions.

Northbound  trains are running on the  line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

For service to/from bypassed stations, consider using southbound  service, or visiting a station agent to request a free courtesy pass for local bus service to nearby  or  stations.

Expect extensive delays to  and  service in both directions.
