  1. There are major delays and multiple impacts to (C) (D) train service because of a switch malfunction at 59 St-Columbus Circle.

There is no (D) train service between 7 Av and 145 St.

Southbound (C) trains are running on the express track from 125 St to Canal St.

The last stop on some (A) and (C) trains will be 96 St.

Expect delays in (A)(C)(D)(E)(F) service in both directions.

I doubt they'll use 8 car R179's during this GO. It's going up concourse which has very heavy ridership meaning 100% full length trains. It'll likely be a mixure of R46's that the (C) uses now and R68/R68A's from the (B)(D) lines. Maybe they'll slip two or more full length R179's from the (A) (Hardly doubt it because it'll confuse (C) line crews).

    Is there a major difference between the 8-car 179s vs the 10-car 179s , operational-wise ?

Sounds about right. Even when the (Q) was going to Astoria on weekends, they tried not running the (Q) via lower manhattan because it just made the line too long, kind of like the (R) to Jamaica-179 St.

in the case of the (A) and this GO, they would have had to run the night (A) service to Lefferts and have a shuttle run the Far Rockaway portion. This GO just goes to show how low ridership is on weekends now that the MTA can get away with running only two routes on Central Park west. Otherwise they would have ran the (D) from 205 St to World Trade Center or 2 Av

Do you think ridership would be enough that the (C) would run full length ?

    April 16th-19th

    (C) trains run between Euclid Av and 125th St and via the (D) to/from 205th St days/evenings.

    (D) trains run between Atlantic Av & Coney Island all times, and as a shuttle between 145th St & 205th St during overnight hours.

I wonder why they chose the (C) and not the (A)

  5. (B)(D)(Q) service is disrupted while we move a train with a mechanical problem off of the Manhattan Bridge.

    (B) Trains

In Brooklyn, northbound trains are only running from Brighton Beach to Prospect Park, the last stop.

Any trains that have passed Prospect Park will run on the (N) line from Canal St to Times Sq-42 St, the last stop.

    (D) Trains

Northbound trains that depart from Coney Island-Stillwell Av are running on the (F) line from to Broadway-Lafayette St.

Trains that are in Brooklyn and have already departed will run on the (N) line from DeKalb Av to 57 St-7 Av and then on the (Q) line to 96 St, the last stop.

    (Q) Trains

Some northbound trains are running on the (N) line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to DeKalb Av.

    (MTA)STATION AND TRACK RESTORATION

EFFECTIVE 24/7 FROM FEB 14, 2021 TO EARLY SUMMER 2021

The stations and track between Myrtle Ave and Broadway Junction are some of the oldest in the system, dating back to the late 1800's.

We are trying to restore these stations and track, so no service will run between Myrtle Av and Broadway Junction.

Because of this, service is going to be changed differently depending on the time.

    RUSH HOUR:

    • (Z) trains will run via the (M) to Middle Village - Metropolitan Avenue, making express stops west of Myrtle Ave.
    • (J) trains are only running between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Center, making all local stops.
    • (L) trains will be running more frequent service between Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and Broadway Junction

    MID-DAY AND EVENINGS:

    • (Z) trains will continue to operate during mid-day and evenings, but will run local.
    • (J) trains will run exactly the same service as during rush hour.

    LATE NIGHTS AND WEEKENDS:

    • (J) trains will run same service as rush hour
    • (Z) trains will not run
    • (M) trains will run between Metropolitan Av and Broad Street, and will be labeled as (brownM) trains.

you mean stops between Marcy & Myrtle or between Myrtle & Metropolitan ?

IDK about VIP but as for me I'm willing to wait and see what NYCT does and be satisfied with it.  So much has to do with when option orders are exercised and when new CBTC installations come on line.  We don't know in what order these tasks will be completed.  Transit is known the change their minds at the last minute with equipment assignments anyway.  They could announce what they are doing, everybody talks about it giving their pros and cons, then change their minds later.  Look at whenever new buses come in.

I hope you guys do as well in the classroom with your math courses as well as your math in making predictions in this thread based on the number of cars we have and what's coming in soon and R211 option orders.

    LMFAOOOOOOO no really tho

  8. Part Suspended

    (7) service is temporarily suspended between Queensboro Plaza and 74 St-Broadway while NYPD responds to several people on the tracks between 46 St-Bliss St and 52 St.

For service between Queensboro Plaza and 74 St-Broadway, see a station agent and receive a courtesy pass for continuing service.

Consider taking Q32, Q53-SBS, and Q60 bus service.

For service between Queens and Manhattan, consider taking (E)(F)(M)(R) trains.

  9. (Q) train service is part-suspended and rerouted while emergency teams respond to someone who was struck by a train at Ocean Pkwy.

There is no (Q) service between Kings Hwy and Coney Island-Stillwell Av in both directions.

Northbound (Q) trains are running on the (N) line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr.

For service to/from bypassed stations, consider using southbound (Q) service, or visiting a station agent to request a free courtesy pass for local bus service to nearby (F) or (N) stations.

Expect extensive delays to (N) and (Q) service in both directions.
