M96 SBS is probably gonna happen. Read page 30 of https://www1.nyc.gov/html/brt/downloads/pdf/better-buses-action-plan-2019.pdf They said they were going to do M14 SBS in this and they did.

That would make the most sense because they are retiring the 2005/6/7 Orions and they pride themselves for being 100% hybrid electric, and they will need new buses after retirement. Also MHV is not suitable for artics
