  1. I think that the subway to Staten Island should not happen, not because the people there think a subway would bring crime to Staten Island, but because Staten Island would bring more crime to the subway lol
  2. This proposal would make it easy to get to Rockaway, but it would drastically decrease ridership on the Far Rockaway LIRR line
  3. I do like this proposal, but I have some questions: If the goes to 205 St, where are you sending the ? Why did you make it go all the way east towards Broadway junction and suddenly redirect it to Kings Plaza? What happened to the rush hour express on the concourse line?
  4. I do not think this could really work. I think a 0-transfer service from the Crosstown line into Manhattan would be a great idea, but the was made to connect Brooklyn and Queens without entering Manhattan. Plus, absorbing the into the would mean the would become a 24/7 service, and that would mean there would be a lot of empty trains in Manhattan during nights and weekends. This could not work for the either, since that would mean the would have to be changed to a Crosstown line since it would run from 95 St to Forest Hills via Crosstown. Even if it isn't changed it would have to become some sort of loop. So it would be better off sending the to Forest Hills and 95 St, and that would not end well on Queens Blvd.
  5. I think its best the late night shuttle service should remain labled as to avoid cofusion. And to make things simple, route the to Jamaica Center and remove the during late nights so there is just one Nassau Street line between Jamaica Center and 95 Street
  6. 2 things: Send the to 179 St with trains running express. Bring back the rush-hour
  7. When It's on 116 St it would cut the corner and so be quicker
  8. It could go through queens to LGA as a faster substitute for the M60
  9. What about rebuilding the Smith- 9 Sts Station? SInce the MTA is working to bring accessibility to the subway, that would be hard and expensive for a station elevated 70 feet in the air.
  10. This is the text on a platform sign about my extended : : To Gun Hill Rd weekdays/evenings. Eastern Pkwy Local, 7 Av Express, Sedgwick Local. Late nights runs between 135 St and Gun Hill Rd, use the and to complete the trip. On weekends this train runs between Gun Hill Rd and Times Square-42 St via 7 A Local. 11. Agreed. I was planning on having it cut a few corners, like in between Jerome Park and Gun Hill Rd
  12. My line extension: Starting the track map at 110 St 110 St 116 St 125 St 135 St 145 St (Upgraded to have full length platforms) 148 St station closed, tracks leading to it remain as a spur to the Lenox Yard Yankee Stadium-Macombs Dam Bridge Metro-North, walk to Goes along Ogden Ave 166 St 169 St Cross Bronx Expy -Sedgwick Turns onto Undercliff Ave 175 St Merges to Sedgwick Ave Burnside Av 183 St - Fordham Rd Metro-North at University Hts Kingsbridge Rd Jerome Park Van Cortlandt Park - Gun Hill Rd ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- During rush hours, select trains would be brought up this line but will skip: 166 St 169 St CBE - Sedgwick 175 St Burnside Av Kingsbridge Rd
  13. Wheaton station actually holds the title for the longest escalator in the western hemisphere!
  14. I did the same thing once in Washington DC, I found out what "Wheaton" was.
  15. This is kind of cool that this happened On the back of a train, the rollsign was in between and The very next train was an R160 train (was very rare back in 2018 when this happened) The train after that was an R32 train with a yellow on the side of the 4th car.
  16. A little off topic but still subway-related When I was younger, I used to get bullied because I really liked trains.I knew that it was a really stupid thing to bully someone over but these people did not care. It made me really sad that they could not understand the reason why I liked something so much. but it all changed one day. I was at the transit museum with my friend (i was 11 years old at the time) in the R42 car and I see these little kids, maybe around 3-5 years old. They were really enjoying the train and making announcements. So I showed them my best impression for an R42 announcements. They were dumbfounded and it brought me joy to realize that I shared the same interest as these young children. My friends mother met with their mother, who was standing outside of the train and talked with her for a little bit. She was impressed about the knowledge about the subway that me and my friend had and asked where we were from. We said that we were from Washington DC and were just visiting (true). The mother was dumbfounded. She was so surprised that despite being around 300 miles from home,we knew so much about the subway. That moment finally made me feel that trains really was the thing meant for me and that there was nothing wrong with that. I still think about those little kids and their mom to this day. This is very important to me, please don't be rude about it.
