  1. So it's still 7. If #3748 doesn't run again, then it's 6.
  2. Then have it run in the Middle, like the B1, B4 and B36 by C.I. Hospital.
  3. I have an idea for Ocean Parkway: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=14kXvHaK5WqN0yCQPIiNCAIlxeM8w0L0&usp=sharing. A +SelectBusService+ route between Downtown Brooklyn (last stop Smith/Livingston Street near Jay Street-MetroTech (A)(C)(F)(R), first stop Boreum Place/Joralemon Street near Borough Hall-Court Street (2)(3)(4)(5)(R)) and Coney Island. Would be an alternative to current Subway Service, and relieve crowding on the Subways and the B68 bus, especially during the summer months. And a Local Route between Prospect-Lefferts Gardens and Coney Island as well.
  4. #4162 is the worst NG I have ever rode. Every time it started moving, it was shaking and rattling, not to mention it's powertrain sounded awful. I feel like it will be the next bus to retire.
  5. There are now 10 lead acid Next Generation Hybrid buses left in service.
  6. I say restore the B71 as well. I also think the B23 should be restored, with an extension to Bay Ridge (Southern End) and Beverly Road (Northern End). The extension means that it would serve 71st Street directly.
  7. Add #3716, #3722, #3745 and #3753 to the list. 17 left now.
  8. #3677 is NOT retired. I happened to ride it yesterday on the Q41.
  9. And then there was one...... JFK/Far Rockaway is now the last Depot to operate the OGs, and at the rate the NGs are being transferred, and the 9000s are arriving, they won't last much longer.
  10. #8964 now has a Baisley Park sticker, and could start service as soon as tomorrow.
  11. I wonder what would happen to the Q1, Q2, Q3, Q6, Q8, Q9, Q36, Q76 and Q77 (and the NICE Routes) once the current 165th Street Terminal closes next month (supposedly). When the new Terminal is being built, where would the routes be terminating once the old terminal shutters? This situation in Jamaica is confusing, honestly, and could cause a traffic nightmare.
  12. There are exactly 80 left in service. 50 at Gun Hill and 30 at Kingsbridge.
  13. I can tie this to today's generation of buffs, who will cause delays (or worse, cancellations) to get what they want, because the MTA got affected by this situation in Union Square BIG TIME.
  14. Today's Generation is so spoiled. They'll destroy half of a block over someone giving away something that they can save up for when a sale comes around, for free...... I want a new Camera and Computer, but I am going to save up to buy that stuff, and NOT ransack an entire place just because someone is giving it away for free. It just doesn't make any kind of sense.
  15. Your reactions to what happened at Union Square today? It has taken 21 buses Out Of Service........ A large crowd was reportedly attending a giveaway event hosted by well-known YouTuber Kai Cenat. Well, it spiraled Out Of Control.......
  16. I'm surprised the MTA chose the Q4 to be Fare Free, and not the more busier Q5 (or 85). For the S46/S96, I thought it would have been something else, like the S40/90 (Amazon) or either of the S44/94 or S61/91 (the Staten Island Mall Routes), or the S53 (Bay Ridge) maybe. Bx18A/B? The MTA split this route into two during the redesign, then created an A/B. I'll see how Morris Heights and University Heights handle this. M116? Maybe. We'll see how this goes. Could have been something else. B60? Since it parallels the for most of it's run, it really wasn't surprising. Neighborhoods like Brownsville and Canarsie will love this. Maybe if I ride all of these routes during this Free period, I'll get an idea on how it will really work.
  17. BREAKING NEWS: Starting 9/24/2023, the Bx18A/B, M116, B60, Q4 and S46/96 Limited will become pilot FARE FREE routes. This is expected to last until 3/30/2024. Your thoughts?
