Hi! I'm doing fine, thanks. Strappies seems to have gotten slow so I tend spend to more time here.
You Know. Every place and every one has their good and bad and transit forums are no exception.
Keep up the good work and keep smiling. By the by, I like the way you list your location.

Hi Daniel, It was meant in fun. The Transit Channel doesn't exist as a cable channel.

P.S. I was trying to create a transit related cable channel similiar to Animal Planet or The History Channel.

Hi Daniel; I listed you as the host of "Transit Videos With Beautiful Music" Wednesday nights on The Transit Channel in Off Topic Lounge. Is that okay?

Dan: Thank you for the Third Avenue El video! At the 7:13 mark, that was Third Avenue crossing the Harlem from Manhattan to The Bronx. On the other side it briefly ran in an alley before returning to Third in the Hub. East 138th Street just missed a transfer with the <6> and East 143d Street was the other station in this private right of way. Everything south of East 149th Street in The Hub came down shortly after May 12, 1955. (Service to South Ferry ran as late as 1949). 70(EE)

Hi! Daniel, I would suggest sending a P.M. to Hiro Nakamura at Strappies. He's our Coordinator. In your P.M. briefly state what you volunteered for at The Straphangers Campaign and you believe there was something mentioned about a promotion. Also let Mr. Nakamura know what you've done so far (if anything) and that you're interested in surveying riders about the new and .
About your "title" - these are fun honorary titles based on your post numbers. You're a "Tourist" from 0 to 49 posts. The complete list of fun honorary titles and their post number ranges can be found in the FAQ section at Rider Diaries. The next one to shoot for is "Straphanger" which you'll be from 50 to 299 posts. In addition to a Moderator, I'm currently also "Gene Russianoff". Hope this helps and best wishes.

Hi! Will do Daniel. Did you volunteer for The Straphangers Campaign or for NYPIRG?

Hi! Oh, yes - summer has arrived. May was nice then we got warm this month. Pretty much afternoons are between 100 and 111 and mornings are between 76 and 84 degrees.

Hi freshpondroadstation! Also on October 27th: in 1972, Mayor John V. Lindsay and Governor Nelson Rockerfeller broke ground at East 103d Street and Second Avenue for the Second Avenue Subway. Unfortunately, the fiscal crisis hit in 1975 under Mayor Abraham Beame and the SAS was left out of the Capital Budget in 1976. Only four sections under construction were completed. Two of the completed sections are East 99th to East 105th Streets and East 110th to East 120th Streets. There is also a section from Canal to Pell Streets. The fourth section, which may not be entirely complete is East 2d to East 9th Streets. 70(EE)
