  1. Still haven't got behind the seat of the Ex-FP units at Flatbush yet. *sighs*
  2. The obvious answer is there, though.I seriously have a problem with bikers riding in areas they shouldn't be riding in, such as keeping up next to the bus, or cutting in front of the bus; basically doing the stupid shit we all wish against. They're lucky it's against the law to use the bus as a weapon.
  3. True story. They may just send it to MTA Bus with the rest of the BS. lol
  4. Yeah, usually when folks panic, I just tell them not to worry and get off at Utica Avenue for the B46. You're likely to catch a B46 as soon as I cross the light, rather than wait for a KP bus to arrive. During rush hours, on the B41, most of the southbound service is serving Bergen Beach rather than KP. I think 9649 can match 9644 for the most part. I see what you're saying. And no, you're not docked, but if you happen to blow your entire swing (lunch) during that fuel line, then you're entitled to get paid your swing, in full, and 20 minutes from the time you speak with the Yard SLD for a meal. They sign your deviation paper (late slip) and tell you "see me at such & such time". No way to get in trouble.
  5. Pull out late? The fuel line is the ops pulling into the depot but waiting on line as the shifters move each bus through the fuel stations. Sometimes, at night, the line gets extremely backed up. We don't get docked; we get paid every minute we wait. I was on it for 41 minutes tonight.
  6. Stuck on this fuel line. This is some bullshit.
  7. 9635 has been at Flatbush for months now. You sure it wasn't another unit at 126 adjacent to 9634? BTW, I had 9635 also on the B31 about 3 months ago.
  8. 9635 & 9643 are both at Flatbush. I had 9635 this past Saturday afternoon on the B49.
  9. Happens all the time. Most of the regulars look at the destination sign, but others just don't have a clue. I know at the Junction they have two stands designated for the B41 - the first one is for the Kings Plaza B41, shared with the B103; the second is for the Bergen Beach B41s, shared with the Q35. Usually, for my bus, after discharging at Avenue P, or bypassing it, I'll get on the PA and announce, "this is a 41 to Bergen Beach, next stop is 45th St.". I've had folks ride with me all the way to 71st Street, and I get on the PA and say "last stop", and they go outside looking for Kings Plaza, only to find residential houses, and a nice pizza place across the street. lmao! They ask me, "where's Kings Plaza?", I tell em, "you got on the wrong bus, guy. there's two B41 branches, and you got on the Bergen Beach one, not KP." I usually direct them to wait for the B3 around the corner that'll get them to the Plaza. It happens 60% of the time. As for 9644, I've had that bus twice. Nice rocket.
  10. If that's the case, then creating your own overhaul thread would be more suitable because it deters this thread from it's current category which is bus moves/transfers, not bus overhauls. Or of a thread isn't suitable for overhauls, put it in the random bus thoughts topic. That's like a thread being about cheese, but you start talking about engines. See? No relation.
  11. I would suggest you post in a separate thread as this one is for those asking questions regarding the "training", not the "hiring" process, or those who haven't been called yet. You'll be able to pick from whatever depots they have open. They'll give you the option depending on your class seniority. If they have depots only available in the Bronx, and live in Brooklyn, then you'll have to work in the BX until the system pick. Keep in mind, if you pick into Queens or Staten Island, then you are stuck for life. Good luck.
  12. 2070 & 2120 (mistaken for 2171) are back at UP as of 5pm yesterday afternoon.
  13. 2070 & 2171 temporary at Flatbush from Ulmer Park until second floor maintenance is complete (swing room usage).
  14. I've looked into the photos, it's not there, but recognize the person who did post it.
  15. There goes my luck with trying to push a ZF beyond its limits! :-( It's all good though as I didn't expect them to stay very long with our order of fresh Artics on the way in May. Time to start pushing out much of the RTS' we have.
  16. Ah! I know exactly who it was, here from the forums too!
  17. It was Downtown on Livingston st... Smh. I think I've seen this guy before, maybe in one of those fan trip pictures, but definitely looks familiar. In my head my thoughts were comprised of, "what's this bitch taking my picture for?", but what was funny is he looked like he was crossing the street then just kneeled down, took a picture, and walked away without even acknowledging my "wtf" reaction.
  18. This guy *points at Acela* wants to know who the f**kk was taking pictures of my bus Downtown today.
  19. I'ma try to get a hold of one tomorrow, just to say I drove that bitch.
  20. Yeah, it was moved in yesterday afternoon and went into service today. More ZFs to follow this week.
