  1. I prob. don't even want to know what you do with a camera after reading that post. Lol!
  2. Well if you mean from last pick which was from September to January, then yes. But right now I don't know who does the run. The best thing I like is that it's a Castleton run so you may catch a Nova, Third Gen or Xcelsior on that run.
  3. I am now the proud owner of: ...the Canon PowerShot G12!
  4. Did you catch the Moore Catholic run from Merrill Avenue? My friend did that last pick. It leaves at 2:57, just so you remember.
  5. People's ignorance never amazes me...even though the bus destination sign tells you where the bus is going, not to mention the bus stop signs for NYCT routes, people still ask what bus it is and where it's going to...not to mention people who always have issues putting the card in the farebox when there's a diagram on top of the farebox as well as the front side of the farebox (not to mention by the door of the bus before you get on). Smh.
  6. The MTA should have bus drivers wear green shirts for St. Patrick's Day. Lollllllllll
  7. I don't even like sitting in the back seats of the RTS' anyway...the corner seats by the window are so damn cramped. I usually sit in the front on the RTS, but on the other buses I tend to sit in the back for some reason (unless there's a B/O I know then I'll stay in the front). Still funny the seat was slashed though lololololololololololol
  8. Lol...I was on the express bus with my friend a few weeks ago and one of the seats looked like it was attacked with a butcher knife. And obviously the rear seats are gonna be hot because that's where the engine is, duh!!!
  9. Yeah it's like there's no escape from the damn things, like everywhere you go you're cornered.
  10. Oh well, looks my non-Next Gen streak has come to an end...caough one my B/O friend was driving on the S44 from Victory/Richmond to the Mall and again on the S44 an hour earlier. At least I rode an Xcelsior on the S59 from CSI High School as well as an MCI deadheading to Manhattan.
  11. Yup, I got a chance to ride one today although I had to chase after it from 34th Street to 42nd Street, but I did catch it thankfully.
  12. Looks like I'll be shifting my attention to Queens for a while since I want to ride the three-digit 600-series Orion 5s before they get pushed out this year.
  13. Yeah, I was waiting for the X10 at 46/5 and it didn't show up on the BusTime. My friend and I weren't too worried as we could have always took the X12 to Jewett and transfer to the S62, but then the X10 showed.
  14. Two for two on MCIs today...2223 on the X10 to SI via West Street and now I'm on 2222 heading back to Manhattan...a great day spent. When I get home I am going to SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Another hybrid-free day today. Xcelsior on the S93 limited this morning, then Xcelsior on the S59 (school tripper) in the mid-afternoon followed by an Orion 5 on the S53, and then out of nowhere, Orion 5 CNG on the B16. I'm taking the train to the city after work for a bit and then taking the train back home, so another day without any Next Gens.
  16. A Next Gen free day in Staten Island...rode an Orion 5 on the S93 Limited this morning followed by an Orion 5 on the S44 to the mall for work. After work I took the S59 (O5) to school and then after class I got a Nova LFS on the S93 Limited. Excellent
  17. I remember I got on an S79 at ETC and the B/O asked me "why didn't you ask me to smile?" I saw her before because she would always be relieved by my friend by Yukon last pick. At least some B/Os aren't as grumpy as we all think.
  18. Caught an Xcelsior on the Loop Shuttle bus this morning...looks like Sunday mornings the seems fairly quiet.
  19. Maybe they should have the aisle-facing seats like the Nova Artics.
  20. Are you saying there should be more seats in the back and less seats in the front?

    Happy birthday mr. IND

  22. The Original Orion 7s have the tape, the same tape seen in the Orion 5s, and then the Orion Next Gens 3800-4244 have the bars and then 4245-4278 and 4330-4702 have the tape that's flush with the door, not the tape that protrude from the door by like a few millimeters. I kinda like the bars because they do close quickly. The vapor doors seen in the buses with the tape take forever to close. And yeah, looking at the bus roster fleet on the TTMG website there are a lot of changes that were made while the buses were being delivered. While I'm not to fond of the Orion 7s, I'll say that the Third Gens have won me over. Speaking of the Third Gens since they relate to the BT&E fleet, I don't think we'll be getting any more Xcelsiors. They look aesthetically pleasing but at the same time, they seem cheaply made sorry to say. Someone did say that the Xcelsiors have a different body frame that's different from the D40LFRs. Wish we would've gotten those instead.
