  1. Top Gear has been getting boring since Hammond's accident, sadly. I'm not blaming it on him, but most stuff just feels scripted and they're getting old.
  2. I don't think anything good has happened to me in March.

  3. I have never won any sort of contest. I did win something on a field trip (a FIRE POKER at some metal smith's shop) in elementary school but when my house's fireplace was removed, the poker went with it. A decade ago, I was in the 9th grade and I wanted the 360, and Pepsi had a contest deal of sorts - under the cap of each 20 oz bottle of Pepsi you had, there was a code you could enter online for a chance to win one. For 13 straight school days, I bought a bottle of Pepsi every day - without fail - but none of the codes worked. I think that want for the 360 died down when a friend got one a year later and he complained about the RROD.
  4. Does anyone know why those orange lights are covered up on Long Island units? They're mounted horizontally instead of like the Triforce here but they've been covered up. NG 1700 had a similar system but that rear panel was replaced some time ago.
  5. Don't say that with the Veolia Internet Defense Force out in full swing, he might have another conniption.
  6. I do use the LIRR every day (or at least I did) but I do like playing around with it. I just wish it didn't treat stations I tap on once as Favorites. I also use it a lot to see how bad things get on the Main Line compared to the south shore branches.
  7. One of the members of the the county-appointed bus committee (bullshit) is a friend of Mango's.
  8. If the city ones have held up, just two years in Nassau wouldn't hurt.
  9. Other than the front sign not working, the plates, the rear lights, the doors, and the obnoxious NICE logo that you can't see half of (orange on orange!), it looks like an old Orion V.
  10. A deviation from a well-established consensus (NICE ****ING SUCKS) is all.
  11. For some reason I've been seeing more Orion Vs around than I did in the fall. I was able to ride 1594 last Thursday on the 48. Drivetrain and HVAC have held up but the rear doors kept sticking for some reason.
  12. Same thing, isn't it? And what about you? Surely, things are golden on the other side of the island. You have a CDL as well, so surely you'd have something better to do than respond to literally every post about NICE here. You don't have to know jack shit more about my life than whatever I've posted here, how about that? Someone has an opinion different than yours! Welcome to the real world.
  13. ¿Por qué no puedo, sostener todos estos limones?

  14. You're trying this hard? That's even more laughable than the service NICE provides. It's okay, though, continue channeling your anguish through trying to volunteer for Veolia/Transdev when you know they're awful. I love how I can make a valid statement that can become, by your ever-infinite wisdom and knowledge, invalid because it contains one criticism about the bus service here. Everything is true - OTP is nonexistent at best, riders are even more dissatisfied (hard to achieve, and guess what: they did it! Maybe that's one thing you can chalk up to God's Chosen Transit Company!), even these 3-year-old buses are dirty and are in dire need of maintentance, and Mango literaly could not give two shits about anyone forced to use the system. What money is there to be saved by taxpayers if he's going to make everything else more pricey? If NICE was "quality," why has ridership dropped by almost half? Why are even more buses late or missing on a regular basis? Why haven't they shown PROOF that ridership has gone up? They sure had something going in 2012 and then there was nothing more - low employee morale/high turnover, lower ridership, and the dispatchers? I feel for them more - they know that it's gone downhill. Every time someone else brings this up, you (the parrot) just repeat the same shit after the same shit. And I literally could never tire of this because laughing at your denial sure warms my heart.
  15. Not talking in terms of level of service, but in terms of quality...
  16. What does it mean when I hear the conductor tell the crew "two apiece - Hicksville collectors in cars X and Y" over the speakers? This was on a Port Jeff train headed west.
  17. I never held the to that high a standard. I thought that they'd do a better job while asking for less... how far from the truth that's come to be!
  18. Based upon road conditions and manpower availability, we hope to begin restoring LIMITED bus service on most fixed routes early afternoon today. Currently we have reinstated LIMITED LOCAL service on the n1, n4, n6, n14, n15, n19, n20/21, n22, n24, n25, n31/32, n33, n35, n36, n40/41, n48/49, n54/55, n62, n71/72, n73/n74 routes Only routes that are determined to be passable will be serviced. Given the widespread school, government and business closures, NICE anticipates lower ridership than normal. While some service may be restored on a selective basis, customers should be prepared for the possibility of delays due to road conditions and traffic. NICE reminds passengers to take extra caution disembarking buses and at bus stops. I wonder how bad the North Shore got hit. I probably only got about barely a foot and a half.
  19. I was wondering why they were putting out advisories for the North Shore routes (n20/21, 25, the Great Neck loops)... they're getting hammered compared to the South Shore.
