What better way to lament Monday than a good quarter of the B division being FUBAR? Due to a rail condition at 125 St and 72 St, the following service changes are in effect: There is no train service between Bedford Park Blvd and DeKalb Av in both directions. trains are running on the line between DeKalb Av and Whitehall St-South Ferry in both directions (northbound trains are terminating at Whitehall St-South Ferry). Southbound trains are running local from 145 St to 59 St-Columbus Circle. trains are running local between Norwood-205 St and 59 St-Columbus Circle in both directions. , , and trains are running with delays in both directions. Allow additional travel time.

Maybe some of that extra air coming in went to his brain and realized that the driver was still continuing on.

I miss when Rocko's Modern Life actually aired on Nickelodeon. NICE related - the current terminal at RFM was still under construction the last time they aired it on the main channel before Nicktoons started up.

If only there was a way to instantly teleport a 40,000 lb. bus and an operator ready to cover the missing run.

Barring some major catastrophe, people can and WILL drive. The buses here don't even run in a timely manner. If you can drive, why waste an hour and a half on a bus?

Wonder when NICE will release ridership figures and why they haven't in a while... And what on earth would people be protesting about Splish Splash for? Did someone fly off a slide? I thought the park itself was strict with what you could do on the grounds.

It's just one of those days.

The first can be accomplished without making it so that you're actually walking faster than a car can move you the same distance. People ahve to fricking stop jaywalking like I see all the time on Merrick Road and Hempstead Turnpike.

If they made those road two lanes each with a bike lane, traffic would never move.

None of the RFM ring roads count as "busy highways" in any way. If there are people trying to get to the mall from Old Country Road or Stewart Avenue, odds are they're already on one of the six or seven routes that already use that road to get there - no need to cross either road. Stewart Avenue and all the roads leading to MF depot are wide enough to handle the traffic and have crosswalks. If anything, they were trying to burn a few extra calories.

RFM to MF isn't even that bad a walk. RVC to MF, maybe THAT would have gotten their attention. Stewart Avenue also isn't that far from MF, either. It's not like they were walking from Merrick Road or anything.

The first week or so of August wasn't that bad compared to now.

This looks fun.

Saving money sure didn't make the buses any more tolerable to ride...

When I rode the N35 every day, B/O's would stop on Clinton Avenue at the Mitchel Field Secondary crossing even though the tracks were marked "exempt."

Was in FR this morning. 9197 came by with massive amounts of blue smoke pouring out of the exhaust, and the amount was enough to obscure the bus from view. It stopped at a light when the smoke turned white. The b/o turned onto Arverne avenue and stopped for about a minute, after which when the B/O tried to restart the engine. The smoke started again and it drove off. I was inside a building so it was out of my sight after some time.
