  1. Where are the Foothill buses now that the XN40s are already on Long Island? I saw a Foothill Orion V a few days ago on the N16 but I couldn't see the number from where I was.
  2. Oh, baby. Due to a rail condition at 65 St, the following service changes are in effect: Some northbound trains are running local from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71 Av. Some northbound trains are running local from 21 St-Queensbridge to Forest Hills-71 Av. Some northbound trains terminate 21 St-Queensbridge. Forest Hills bound trains are running on the line from Essex St to Chambers St and terminate. Expect delays on , , , and trains. Allow additonal travel time Due to track maintenance at Prospect Park, northbound and trains are running with delays. Allow additonal travel time. Service Change Posted: 11/17/2015 11:10AM Due to signal problems at Lexington Av/59 St, the following service changes are in effect: Southbound , and trains are running with delays. 3. Local newspapers tell me it was closed in 2008. I do remember the fire there in 2013, though...
  4. Saw 1888 and another XN40 on the n4 earlier. The other XN40 was going too fast for me to catch the number.
  5. Do you remember the last time the small factory building by Lynbrook station was open, right beside where the Great Neck-bound N25s start their trip?
  6. It's insulting to think about. $2.75 to cram yourself onto a 40 ton bus with 40 other people onboard just to go almost three times as slow as just about every other car moving by. If you live along and only need one line, it's not that bad, but having to take one bus for almost 50 minutes just to transfer to another (like I had to do for almost 3 years) is just godawful. There's no other word for it.
  7. Are those giant "fins" supposed to be where the tanks are? Was putting them in a giant box on top like the C40 and Orions too top heavy?
  8. It's been a trend - the city bound routes get the newer buses first. I remember seeing the 3G's a lot on the N22 and 24 when they were new.
  9. It just wouldn't be Thursday without something going wrong right before Friday.
  10. The Transit app has one but when I tried it, I could only see one bus at a time...
  11. I've always loved Japanese-made goods from the late 1980s to the 1990s. I still have my SNES from 1992-1993... still works, though it's EXTREMELY sensitive to touch now. Same goes for the old '90s cars, though I think a lot of stuff the same year the SNES was still popular has turned to rust now...
  12. They actually do brush the wheels down every few months. It looks nice.
  13. And the USPS wonders why it's losing money... I order something Thursday night, the seller doesn't get to the post office until the weekend, fine... but when it's been sitting there since midnight on Friday? Spend the extra money on UPS or FedEx.. anything's better than ordering something FROM BROOKLYN only to have it sit for almost a week no less than 10 miles away. I could have gone to the guy's house and paid him myself!
  14. This wasn't as bad a week disruption-wise, but here's a nice Friday bonus for everyone on the way back in the rush:
  15. When the cuts start shifting westward, then things will heat up. I don't think too many people need a bus east of Hicksville.
  16. There is no such thing as luck.

  17. The N31/32 to Hempstead for the N15/16/27/35 do the same thing. Also, the majority of the villages and towns along Peninsula Boulevard are more than able to afford a car.
  18. I found a NICE bus on the Clearview Expressway using Google Maps. https://www.google.com/maps/@40.7265447,-73.7568221,37m/data=!3m1!1e3
  19. SE Nassau is fairly well off compared to central Nassau. I don't know what benefit it would provide especially when the few lines that go out that far carry nothing but air.
