  1. Drastic measures need to be taken in Nassau & Suffolk Counties over people who don't treat driving as seriously as it should be!   I am not even kidding when I say Cuomo needs to call a state of emergency on the dangerous driving in Nassau and Suffolk county...  Either all driving convictions need to "non tolerance" suspending licences upon conviction for 30 days OR immediately make everyone living in Nassau and Suffolk a written test again.  If you can't pass the written test  you have no business driving, and you won't be driving until you can pass the test.

I know I may get shit for this or told I'm over reacting/making too big a deal, but why do people have to die everyday, out your lives in danger, you family and friends lives in danger because Nassau, Suffolk, and the State will do nothing!?!

Oh why oh why do those NICE buses have to suffer damage everday? Oh woo is me! PREACH IT BROTHA.

  2. Well, it doesn't nessesarily have to be daily (going to an appointment once a week would count) and I would put grocery shopping into the category of relying on the bus. But I'm only referring to local grocery shopping. Taking a bus a couple of miles to a grocery store because the grocery stores in your neighborhood are too expensive or have too poor quality is one thing. Taking a bus to a store 20 miles away for the hell of it is another thing.

I mean, when people say seniors rely on buses, they're usually not using them every single day, and they don't risk getting fired or failing a class if they're late, but they do depend on them.

Besides his friend in White Plains, he mentioned he takes the bus for miles to go to Whole Foods when there are probably several similar local super markets that sell organic food in Flushing where he lives. When I say seniors rely on buses, that usually is to get to a doctor whose office isn't nearby or some other appt. Yuki has said on several occassions that he takes the bus for the hell of it because he posts his trips here that go in circles and zig-zags with no real destination. I'm not saying thats bad, even though he doesn't have a job, but he shouldn't say he "relys" on the bus.

  3. Yeah, being anything more than 5 minutes early, there really isn't an excuse for because of the slowness of the bus and the amount of lights they get stuck at.

    Most jobs required college degreed.

I asked MET Museum if I could volunteer, but they told me I have to have college degree.

No, not all jobs require a college degree, Maybe only the ones you looked at and wanted, but there are jobs at stores and supermarkets that probably don't require any experience at all.
  4. Some NICE riders wait for 20 minutes before schedule arrival time, because some riders don't trust NICE Bus.

Yeah, but if a bus comes 2-3 minutes earlier, we don't need a complaint from LIBRU or a complaint on this forum every time. If a bus is within 10 minutes (early or late) of its scheduled time, it is because of the lights in Nassau that's it not directly on schedule on the dot. You and LIBRU need to stop blaming the drivers.

  5. Word has it that 8000, 8018 and 8051 have had their signs changed to Luminator Titans, any confirmation on that?

    hmm

They still have AXion Controllers/ODKs, it's prolly just the new program. I'll check though

Yeah, I heard that rumor as well, but then somebody else clarified that it was just a new program like dmouse said.

  6. 7601 was in Freeport, on Henry St. between Sunrise HWY & Freeport LIRR, does anyone know why?  Also, I'm not sure if there was another bus that went by a few minutes before or if 7601 circled back around and parked (I couldn't make out the number).

You'll usually see a lot of (MTA) buses on Sunrise Hwy because that's the route they usually take to go out to the Detroit Diesel facility in Ronkonkoma.

If he was stopped, maybe he was taking a driving break, stretching his legs..
