Getting this back on track:

 

A sinkhole has developed around the tip of Park Row at Broadway, necessitating the closures of the Fulton Street complex stations AND stations around Chambers Street-City Hall.  Canal Street and points north and Wall Street and points south are NOT affected by this.

 

Reroute as needed.  

- Via Brooklyn Local - Rutgers Street - 8th Avenue Local (W 4 St-59 St)

- 168 St to Chambers St, select trains run via 8th Avenue Express (Canal St-59 St)

- Parsons/Archer to Essex St, select Manhattan-bound trains terminate at Marcy Ave or Myrtle Ave-B'way

- Suspended

- Via Broadway Local

- Via Bridge, select Queens-bound trains run to Whitehall St

- Suspended

- Two sections:

241 St to Chambers St, select trains run to Rector St, via South Ferry Loop

Borough Hall to Flatbush Ave, bypassing Hoyt St

- 148 St to Chambers St

- Two sections:

Woodlawn to Grand Central

Borough Hall to New Lots Ave, local b/w Franklin Ave and Utica Ave

- Dyre Ave to E 180 St

- Pelham Bay Park to Grand Central, express service cancelled

Due to signal problems at 145 St, the following service changes are in effect:

There is no  train service between 145 St and Norwood-205 St in both directions.

Northbound  trains terminate at 59 St-Columbus Circle or 145 St.

Travel Alternative

Passengers may take the  train making nearby stops or take the Bx1 or Bx2 buses.

No, the signs on the have been Sea Beach Express ever since the beginning; as to why it's like that is probably to save slides.

I saw a few uptown and going via 6 Avenue and the north side of the Manhattan Bridge, something happened on the south side that made them reroute. Where do they even go to terminate? I heard at West 4th Street that one of the trains was going on the line to 21st Street Queensbridge, but I didn't hear about any of the rest.

Also this morning there was a stalled train at Jay Street-Metrotech which made some southbound trains terminate at 2nd Avenue and some go over the line to Coney Island. I saw those and trains while I was on one of those rerouted (F)'s.

Due to a unauthorized person on the roadbed at Montrose Av, the following service changes are in effect:

There is no  train service between  8 Av and Broadway Junction in both directions.

As an alternative, use ,  and  trains at Broadway Junction, Customers may also use the 14A and 14D bus service in Manhattans and B38, B57, B60, B62, Q54 and Q59 bus service in Brooklyn.

Due to FDNY activity at Wall St, the following service changes are in effect:

Both directions,  trains are running on the  line from 149 St-Grand Concourse to Nevins St.

Both directions, no  and  train service between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr to 149 St-Grand Concourse.

I don't think the needs the R160's as well, the capacity of the 46's are fine and it shouldn't be overcrowded as long as headways aren't screwed up, and the probably needs them more anyway.

Can anyone confirm that there was an train that went via 6th Avenue this morning? I only ask because there was this service change..

And all of the roll signs of the rear 4 cars of the R68/A (that I saw at West 4th) were all set to the (bullets, destination). Also, a and a train came shortly afterwards. Didn't see the first cars or get a picture, unfortunately.

There is no  train service from 145 St to Brighton Beach in both directions.

Southbound  trains are running on the  line from 59 St-Columbus Circle to W 4 St-Washington Sq.

Southbound  trains are running on the  line from Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av to W 4 St-Washington Sq.

There is no  train service from Delancey St-Essex St to Forest Hills-71 Av in both directions.

Police are investigating.

So about an hour after this service change started I caught a at Jay St, ended up running express on the local track to Church Avenue stopping at 7th Avenue (while an train and a train passed by on the express track), then local. The conductor announced to Coney Island at all of the stops, but we ended up terminating at Kings Hwy middle track.

Took the south from Whitehall at around 3:45 and it was fine.

 

Northbound trains were running via the bridge, though.

Yeah there was some "FDNY activity/investigation" at Canal Street/City Hall.

Sooo about that rail condition at Myrtle-Bway this morning, heard an got rerouted to Jamaica Center for some reason.

I rode an MJQ RTS the other day and it had announcements saying "Please, do not stand in the rear doorway" whenever the rear doors were unlocked. I forgot the number but it was one of the 5200 series. I don't recall ever hearing it before... is this new?

Due to a broken rail at President St, the following service changes are in effect:

There is a shuttle train operating between Flatbush Av and President St in both directions.

Southbound 2 trains are running express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Center to Crown Heights-Utica Av then via the 3 to New Lots Av.

Southbound 3 trains are running express from Atlantic Av-Barclays Center to Crown Heights-Utica Av then normal route.

4 trains are running between Woodlawn and Atlantic Av-Barclays Center in both directions.

Southbound 5 trains are terminating at Bowling Green.

Shuttle buses are running between President St and Franklin Av in both directions.

As an alternative, customers can use the B44 or B44-SBS buses making nearby station stops.

M15-SBS bus service is detoured due to the NYC Marathon.

Detour is as follows:

Southbound: Via Lenox Av, right on 116 St, left on 8 Av and continue into Central Park W, left on 86 St, left on Madison Av, right on 86 St, right on 2 Av and regular route.

I think 86th Street Transverse is clogged because of all the detoured buses and traffic going through it
