BMT4Life Posted November 19, 2007 Share #1 Posted November 19, 2007 Wasn't the Masstransiscope beautiful when it was alive and kicking. I always enjoyed watching it when ever I rode by it. I actually saw it lit a couple of weeks ago. They should just cut the lights and seal the doors shut. Dedos Posted November 19, 2007 Share #2 Posted November 19, 2007 I remember that. That was when I started drawing around those days. I would repaint the whole thing over back to normal if I could.
Harry Posted November 19, 2007 Share #3 Posted November 19, 2007 When I was a kid I couldn't wait to get to that part of the tunnel. The Masstransiscope was the highlight of my ride back then. I used to see it a lot during the summertime when my mother would take me to work with her. That is also when I used to see the JFK Express and even the in the earlier years. R1Toasty Posted November 19, 2007 Share #5 Posted November 19, 2007 I'd love to see it lit again. I'll ride past it next time I'm there and try to catch some details, but it would be nice if they lit it up this holiday season...
Harry Posted November 19, 2007 Share #6 Posted November 19, 2007 I'd love to see it lit again. I'll ride past it next time I'm there and try to catch some details, but it would be nice if they lit it up this holiday season... It's still lit to this day. I rode past it today but it was seriously vandalized. What a shame.
error46146 Posted November 19, 2007 Share #7 Posted November 19, 2007 I remember seeing that when I used to take the B train (that was years ago when i still lived in brooklyn). I haven't seen it lately though. It would be a real Shame to see it vandalized.
Tracknut Posted November 19, 2007 Share #8 Posted November 19, 2007 The masstransiscope was great in the 80's. I enjoyed looking at it myself. The artist should get back to work and repaint it.
BMT4Life Posted November 20, 2007 Author Share #9 Posted November 20, 2007 It's still lit to this day. I rode past it today but it was seriously vandalized. What a shame. Yes it is still lit and vandalized. The problem with it is the doors leading into the shaft has been permanently busted. If you look carefully at the right moment you can see the doors ajar with the light shining through. What I don't get is why the MTA continues to light it up knowing it's been vandalized.
