A Queens school bus driver dropped dead behind the wheel on Tuesday, sending the bus filled with children rolling into another car, police said.

The unidentified driver lost consciousness shortly after stopping the bus at a red light at the intersection of Hampton St. and Elmhurst Ave. in Elmhurst about 4:30 p.m., police said.

The bus - which had nine children onboard - rolled forward and hit a vehicle moving through the intersection.

The world needs more good people like Racheal. I feel sorry for everybody, they will be traumatized for a very long time. May the B/O RIP, it was his time to go. The heat may have been a factor but he probably had medical issues. Elmhurst General Hospital was just a few blocks away from where this happened.

The Q29 bus runs on Hampton St, if you were a passenger on a moving city bus and the B/0 died all of a sudden, would somebody step up and try to control/stop the bus?

This must have been a horrifying experience for the kids. The article seems incomplete (no given status on the man pinned to a tree by a car, and also the status on the kids), but my condolences go out to anyone who was affected by the situation, like the mother.
