metsfan Posted November 4, 2009 Share #1 Posted November 4, 2009 If the H&M was ever fully realized, it would be the best transit system in the world (after all the stations are cleaned of course!). - A
EE Broadway Local Posted November 4, 2009 Share #2 Posted November 4, 2009 Pavonia Avenue-Newport looks better today than it did in the 1970's and 1980's. I recall during that time there was a proposal to extend PATH from Newark Penn Station to Plainfield, New Jersey. Thank you for the map, Metsfan. metsfan Posted November 4, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted November 4, 2009 Yea, it's fairly efficient & on time & no strikes. P/N station has some serious mold/dust & leaking issues at the far end, it's kinda scary looking actually... - A

Fan Railer Posted December 7, 2009 Share #7 Posted December 7, 2009 they had plans to extend it to aster place, and then from there, hypothetically to GCT. but idk.
metsfan Posted December 7, 2009 Author Share #8 Posted December 7, 2009 There is a short stub of a tunnel off 9th ave towards aster place, in this tunnel is the ring assembly machine, and some other VERY old equipment. I personally think lengthening grove street, and having a hoboken to gct via 6th ave then turn at 43rd st would be excellent. 4 seat ride for 5 bucks from EWR to GCT! Extend PATH to EWR from NWK, and it becomes possible to do 1.75 and 2 seats! - A
