Zman Posted April 4, 2010 Share #5 Posted April 4, 2010 What Currency is this? The above coins are Euro coins from Europe. The 10 cent and 50 cent pieces were minted in Ireland and the 20 cent piece was minted in France. What Currency is This? The above coin is an out of circulation 20 centime coin from France. 100 centimes equaled 1 franc, 6.5 francs equaled $1 US Dollar. The first coin above is a 10 pence piece from the United Kingdom and is still used. The second piece is an out of circulation 1 Irish pound coin; punt is gaelic for pound (100 pence = 1 pound, 1 pound = $1.71 US), the third coin, also from Ireland and out of circulation, was worth 5 pence. What Currency is This? The above coin is an out of circulation 1 franc coin from France. The above coin is worth 1 krona from Sweden, about 16¢ US. What Curreny is These? The seven coins listed above are all Hungarian forint coins. 195 forint = $1 US Dollar. In the six coin photo, the middle bottom coin with the star on it was issued when Hungary was under communist rule. All the other forint coins were minted after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
