MTA Service Notice

 

Due to a train with mechanical problems at the 39th Avenue Station:

 

Queens-bound trains are running on the line from the 57th Street-7th Avenue Station to the 36th Street Station.

 

There is no Queens-bound and train service from the 57th Street-7th Avenue Station to the Astoria-Ditmars Boulevard Station.

 

As an alternative, customers are advised to take , Q69 or Q102 bus making nearby station stops.

 

Please expect delays in service on the(N) , and trains at this time.

 

Why does the have to reroute?It dosent stop at 39th ave.

I think that the needs access to the 59th street tunnel to get to the train.

So? It can send it then while having the run normal.

That explains why my train went skipped stations between Astoria Blvd and QBP. Although, the T/O was told to skip the stops after we entered Astoria Blvd which means we couldn't switch to the Exp track.

This probably messed up the at 57 Street.

 

Instead, they should have shortened the to 42 Street and extended the to QBP (using the diamond west of the station).
