Please expect delays in(E) train service at this time. They maybe mad but they can take the train from Lower Manhattan as an alternative to get to the LIRR Jamaica station. At least you LIVE closer to the transit center (where one can get to either the via the N31/32 or the via the N6... and get away with waiting for a bus that actually has at least 10 seats open). I could get to an LIRR station via the N25 (which terminates at a station that is actually on my branch), but I'd rather not pay $8 for an off-peak ticket...
