CTK246 Posted December 15, 2010 #2 Posted December 15, 2010 Good Morning! Also, it's good to see this happen, especially for the people who work in this freezing weather. (Hope this doesn't mean ANYkind of cut/hike occurs) But health care is another story...
Harry Posted December 15, 2010 #3 Posted December 15, 2010 At a time where healthcare contributions are going up and salary increases going almost nowhere this is a huge victory. Well deserved guys.
TwoTimer Posted December 15, 2010 #4 Posted December 15, 2010 They ended up doing the belt tightening they had to anyway, one way or another. This forced them to look inward at the supervisory and management level for a change, instead of hourlies (and I'm not talking about just hourlies covered by TWU, but all hourlies that work for the agency). If they got their way, all those supervisors and inept managers they let go would still be here. There still some left of course, but at least some are gone.
Bill from Maspeth Posted December 15, 2010 #5 Posted December 15, 2010 The courts did not rule what the compensation package should be, all they did was to rule that the decision of the arbitration panel is to be enforced. Don't read any more into this.

Don't read any more into this. Of course, and I don't think anybody is doing that either. All that was said is that "binding" arbitration is in fact binding.

SubwayGuy Posted December 15, 2010 #8 Posted December 15, 2010 Good. It's about time working people started getting something BACK from the corporates who sold them up the river so they could profit more for themselves.
