R160 Posted January 30, 2011 Share #1 Posted January 30, 2011 Because of a train with mechanical problems at Vernon Blvd-Jackson Av, there is no service between 42 St-Times Square and 45 Road-Court House Square. As an alternative, take a Main St-Flushing bound train to 74 St-Broadway and transfer to a Manhattan bound , , or train.

IRT Bronx Express Posted January 31, 2011 Share #4 Posted January 31, 2011 I'm assuming that service goes out of service at 45 Rd or Queensboro Plaza, then they run light, and use the switches near Hunters Point Avenue to turn back.

Nova RTS 9147 Posted January 31, 2011 Share #6 Posted January 31, 2011 How do trains terminate at 45 Road again? I'm assuming that service goes out of service at 45 Rd or Queensboro Plaza, then they run light, and use the switches near Hunters Point Avenue to turn back. They probably said 45th Road so passengers can transfer for the (E)/(M) without getting confused.
