Abba Posted February 13, 2011 Share #1 Posted February 13, 2011 Current Service Status / Subways-7 Posted: 02/13/2011 1:06PM MTA Service Notice Due to ongoing signal trouble at the Vernon-Jackson Avenues Station, select Manhattan-bound trains are terminating at the Queensboro Plaza Station. As an alternate, customers are advised to take trains making nearby station stops. Please expect delays in service on the trains at this time. This must be frustrating for some people since the 42nd st is out.

Broadway Local Posted February 13, 2011 Share #3 Posted February 13, 2011 the doesn't stop near 45 Road, Vernon Blvd, or Hunterspoint. Only in Manhattan... I don't know why. What about this: To 5th Av/Grand Central: Take Manhattan bound to 74th St-Broadway, and transfer to Manhattan bound to 42nd St-Bryant Park Station. To Vernon Blvd and Hunterspoint Av: Take the to 61st Street-Woodside, and transfer to Long Island City/Hunters Point bound Long Island Rail Road to Hunterspoint Av/Long Island City Stations. To 45th Road/Courthouse Sq: Take the to 74th St-Broadway and transfer to Manhattan bound to 23rd St-Ely Av Station.

What about this: To 5th Av/Grand Central: Take Manhattan bound to 74th St-Broadway, and transfer to Manhattan bound to 42nd St-Bryant Park Station. No (F)s there because of a G.O. so take the instead. To Vernon Blvd and Hunterspoint Av: Take the to 61st Street-Woodside, and transfer to Long Island City/Hunters Point bound Long Island Rail Road to Hunterspoint Av/Long Island City Stations. This could work, but no one is going to pay for the LIRR right after getting on the subway. To 45th Road/Courthouse Sq: Take the to 74th St-Broadway and transfer to Manhattan bound to 23rd St-Ely Av Station. No trains stopping at that station because of a G.O. Replies in bold. Vistausss Posted February 13, 2011 Share #5 Posted February 13, 2011 "This could work, but no one is going to pay for the LIRR right after getting on the subway." Plus, there are only a few peak LIRR-trains going to LIC and Hunterspoint.
