This very special subway music video focus on the subway cars thats retired that no longer runs in passenger service and 2 of the subway lines thats been eliminated as of June 26th 2011. lilbluefoxie Posted August 26, 2011 Share #5 Posted August 26, 2011 the R44s were retired prematurely, its too bad in all the years they had em they couldn't have found a way to fix the rust issue. As for the R40, those things were a safety hazard and lasted a good 41 years, so they weren't gone too soon, they were retired at the right time.
