Subway - What If?

VWM

Recommended Posts

I assume you mean every station BESIDES Fulton St. Okay, here we go:

(2) some downtown trains terminate at Chambers St; some trains run via Lexington Av express

(2) single-track shuttle trains run between Wall St and Nevins St

(3) downtown trains terminate at Chambers St

(A) Far Rockaway/Lefferts Blvd - 207 St, via (F) between Jay St and W 4 St, local in Manhattan

(C) Euclid Av - High St

(J)(Z) terminates at Chambers St

That's awesome! I wouldn't have been able to think of it myself :P

@ NX Express, can you please specify westbound versus eastbound (since that's where the 53/63 St lines run?

wb 63 St -> sb 6 Av

nb 6 Av Lcl->eb 53 St

(B): Suspended.

(D): Northbound via 8th Avenue, southbound via 8th Avenue to Rutgers Street & Culver Express.

(E): 57th Street-6th Avenue-Jamaica Center.

(F): Via 53rd Street eastbound to Queens.

(M): Chambers Street-Metrop. Avenue

Why not run the (E) through via 6 Av, but southbound via 63 St?

A terrorist threat requires the shutdown of the following stations:

34 street- penn station (all)

Times square (all)

34 street herald square (all)

Grand central (all)

Brooklyn bridge city hall

Canal st (broadway)

Have fun.

For those of you who don't want to stay up until 2:00 AM solving the above scenario, I'll give another option:

NEXT:

Trains cannot pass under the East river using the Cranberry St tube or the Rutgers St tube. RULES: no routes can be suspended, or have service frequencies reduced

(A): Chambers Street-207th Street & High Street-Queens.

(C): World Trade Center-168th Street & York Street-Queens.

(F): 2nd Avenue-179th Street & Ditmas Avenue-Coney Island.

(G): Extended to 18th Avenue.

(M): Runs to Forest Hills all night.

(1): Some trains terminate at 42nd Street, some run express to South Ferry.

(6): Half of (6) trains terminate at 138th Street in the Bronx, the other half of (6) trains and <6> trains run express in Manhattan south of 42nd Street.

(C): Via express 34th Street-Canal Street.

(E): Some trains terminate at 34th Street, some trains terminate at 2nd Avenue on the (F) line.

@ ThrexxBus, I don't think the (N), (Q) or (J) are affected, assuming that NX Express means "local tracks on 4-track lines". (C) Brooklyn-bound trains run express from 59 St to Canal St

(E) terminates at 2 Av

(M) some uptown trains terminate at Essex St

(R) runs via Manhattan bridge

(1) runs express between 34 St-Penn Station and Chambers St

(6) runs express between 14 St-Union Sq and Brooklyn Bridge

Word, but I would not be talking chief. A computer table?

Due to a faulty 3rd between 125 St (A)(B)(C)(D) and 145 St (A)(B)(C)(D), both stations are impassible. To add to the picture, both stations may not be used as terminals or lay-ups. Shall we commence.

Well, to be fair to ThrexxBus, he was referring to overly difficult and complicated scenarios, not unrealistic ones. Anyway:

(A) 207 St - 168 St (wrong rails from 175 St to 168 St)

(A) Far Rockaway/Lefferts Blvd - 59 St-Columbus Circle, stops at 50 St (relays north of 59 St)

(C) suspended

(B) suspended

(D) Coney Island - 59 St-Columbus Circle (relays north of 59 St)

Bronx (B)(D) riders are advised to use the (4) train. Some (5) and (6) trains can be re-signed as (4) trains and go to Woodlawn. Some (5) trains can be re-signed as (2) trains and run via 7 Av express.

(C) runs between Penn Station and Euclid via 8th Avenue express

(B) suspended

(D) runs in 2 sections: 205th to Yankee Stadium - Columbus Circle to Coney Island

And note, the (A) does not need to wrong rail between 175th and 168th; Look at the track map.

6 Av/53 St Junction is flooded. As a result, only two tracks are passable:

Southbound 63 St -> southbound 6 Av

Northbound 6 Av Local -> northbound 53 St

Reroute: (B)(D)(E)(F)(M) and others if necessary

(B) Terminates at 42 Street-Bryant Park.

(D) Terminates at 42 Street-Bryant Park.

(E) via 63 St/6 Av (SB), 6 Av (NB)

(F) via 53 St (NB)

(M) via 63 St (SB)

At this time, (A) trains run local between 168 Street and 145 Street, and (C) trains run via the (D) to Norwood-205 Street.

The BMT Southern Division (4 Av/West End/Culver/Brighton/Franklin Av) is closed down for some reason. Reroute trains ( (B)(D)(F)(N)(Q)(R)(S)).

(2) runs in 2 sections 1, 241st and 180th st 2, Eastern Pwy and Flatbush Av

(3) runs in 2 sections 110st and Wall st 2, Eastern Pwy and New Lots Av

(4) runs between Woodlawn and Borough Hall.

(5) runs between Dyre Av and Bowling Green.

Free shuttle buses run betweeen 110st to 148st or 149st and Borough hall and Eastern Pwy.

Next the City Hall tower on the Broadway line is having problems. This affects the (N)(Q)(R)(J). Note you can't run Broadway Line trains on the 6thav line or 8th av line since it creates confusion.
