I live near the Bx19 too, but in Manhattan. I don't really use it that much, but I would always see it bunch on 145 Street. At least that detour is over when it had to use the Madison Avenue Bridge.

Too many wheelchairs, and too many farebeats.

Couldn't agree more with you on that one. It's certainly true that my neighborhood has a disproportionate number of wheelchair-bound people, compared with other neighborhoods in the Bronx.

Farebeats, how?

Not paying their fare, then have the nerve to ask for a transfer. Those who go through the back door won't get one. Those who tell me they don't have it, I always do, due to them being "honest". Still I am so tired of the crap. You just get tired of it, and start giving them the look of, what story do you have for me today, that I had not heard already. Then you shrug your shoulder after they ask can I ride etc.....

One sunny Saturday, I made a relief. The bus came with 2 wheelchairs. I let one off, and another was waiting. This happened to all the way Riverbank, and back to Tremont. Six in my first round trip.
