@pelham: That first one is more white than red...

 

But since we're also counting half red trains in:

 

The BN M1/M2/M3 series in Amsterdam (subway), built in the 80s, about to be replaced by new Alstom Metropolis trains.

And furthermore, about all of the rolling stock of the DB (German Railways) is red with (usually) white doors.

Here are two and the pictures are not mine. BR475 and BR477. The BR475 lasted until 1997 serving 70 years for the S-Bahn. The BR477 of 1933 vintage were in service until 2003. And some call the R32s old cars.....

Our red rattlers:

Tait's or "Sliding door" Built in 1910 as loco hauled cars capable of being turned into Electric trains. Converted to electric trains in 1919. Last in service 1984.

Built in 1887 to 1907 as loco hauled stock capable of being turned into Electric trains. Entered services as electric trains in 1919. Last in service 1984.
