I feel a great sense of admiration and joy when i saw this. I wonder when my area will see them.

Same question I ask.

And Andy feels so proud a tube thing is in his town. :P

Things must be slow downtown today; all the paint has dried :P

Hahaha. My town rocks, but the people can be quite nasty sometimes.

Is is the nacelle or "pod" portion of a wind turbine, the "hub" where the blades attach that sits on the tower.

:P

I saw one of the blades for one on a truck when I was driving home through PA a little while back. It took me a second to recognize it (it looked like an airplane wing at first glance).

Yes, we have several wind farms in PA, and several in the planning phase.

Oh well that's different. Very cool as a matter of fact.

Yea, i wish they put one in the state park in my town. We'd have power even if the national grid went down! :P
