Turbo19 Posted October 3, 2013 Share #4 Posted October 3, 2013 Those roads are cars worse nightmare...but then once paved; it's heaven. I'm dealing with repaving in my hometown. Believe me, this f**ks over pedestrians as well.
N6 Limited Posted October 4, 2013 Share #5 Posted October 4, 2013 Nice. I think the MTA and NYCDOT should work together. NYC's crappy streets really beats those buses up and ads to maintenance costs. The city and MTA would save money if they at least kept streets with bus routes in good shape.
w8Hou Posted October 4, 2013 Share #6 Posted October 4, 2013 Wait until winters comes and you will see how many pot holes with that cheap asphalt mix that DOT got.
Broadway Local Posted October 5, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted October 5, 2013 Wait until winters comes and you will see how many pot holes with that cheap asphalt mix that DOT got. I'm waiting until there will be another road construction that will mess up the new asphalt on roads... Yet the roads can continue to be crappy, including mine, and it was milled and paved like around 8 years ago. That's so long, lmao.
w8Hou Posted October 5, 2013 Share #8 Posted October 5, 2013 DOT doesnt even invest filling in the cracks on the asphalt instead waste money on pedestrian plazas and bike lanes in people's backyards.
Broadway Local Posted October 6, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted October 6, 2013 DOT doesnt even invest filling in the cracks on the asphalt instead waste money on pedestrian plazas and bike lanes in people's backyards. So that's how cheap they are lol. That's how people don't get comfortable from it, bump their heads in cars, and flat tires. But seriously, filling the cracks is so much better than leaving it. Who cares about bike lanes at this moment? There are streets and avenues with useless bike lanes, like 7th Av in Brooklyn for example. Bunch of potholes and bumps there and there's a bike lane. Turbo19 Posted October 6, 2013 Share #10 Posted October 6, 2013 Bike lines aren't the problem, ill equipped roadways are. Let us not confuse the two.
