LIRR, Amtrak, Shore Line East, and Metro North 5/22/14

Recommended Posts

Went from Woodside to Penn Station on the LIRR. There I took Amtrak to New London, CT. At New London, I took another Amtrak train and got off at Old Saybrook. Then I took Shore Line East to New Haven where I transfered to a Metro North train bound for Grand Central.

Beautiful photos bring back memories of the LIRR from my youth as the Port Washington branch stopped at Woodside. The building which you have in the Sunnyside Yards which has IDCNY on it was the original Sunshine Biscuits which made their brand of saltines and cookies as I grew up around that area.
