TheNewYorkElevated Posted September 14, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 14, 2015 Yesterday, 9/13/2015, 34th Street-Javits Center train extension officially opened to the public after 2 years of delays. There were tons of railfans in attendance (as well as some notable ones). Some had even come as far from Philadelphia. Here are a few pictures, and a video. FLX9304 Posted September 17, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 17, 2015 This could have easily been Station #470 if Dean Street on the Franklin Ave Shuttle didn't see its demise over the years before it closed in 1995 due to service cuts.
MTA Bus Posted September 19, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 19, 2015 This could have easily been Station #470 if Dean Street on the Franklin Ave Shuttle didn't see its demise over the years before it closed in 1995 due to service cuts. It was a low ridership stop and the terminal is like three blocks from it.
