TheNewYorkElevated Posted June 12, 2016 Share #1 Posted June 12, 2016 The renovated 168th Street station on the line. Taken 6/9/2016. Enjoy!
Via Garibaldi 8 Posted June 13, 2016 Share #2 Posted June 13, 2016 lol... It's not renovated. It's been like that for years and if you notice, the so called "renovated" platform is so filthy that it could be re-done again. That station along 181st is a disgrace, and the fact that the community allows the to leave those stations in such a state is troubling.
jon2305 Posted June 13, 2016 Share #3 Posted June 13, 2016 Whats even more troubling is the MTA knowing about the disrepair of the ceiling 10 YEARS before it collapsed in 2009.
Via Garibaldi 8 Posted June 13, 2016 Share #4 Posted June 13, 2016 Whats even more troubling is the MTA knowing about the disrepair of the ceiling 10 YEARS before it collapsed in 2009. I've used that 168th street station twice last month and it's a disgrace. I also don't understand how they still have those elevators in use that are downright dangerous? They should upgraded in this so called "renovation". They are incredibly hot and feel unstable. It's not Manhattan proper, so the doesn't give a damn. They also did a half-@ssed renovation of the 238th street station. Did parts of the platform, but the stairs leading to the actual platform weren't touched... FYI, 168th street should've been completed already (either last year or early this year)...
