Ken S. Posted October 15, 2008 #1 Posted October 15, 2008 This train is called H-02 and rumors are that the Morristown & Erie may be taking over operation of this train at some point in the future.
metsfan Posted October 16, 2008 #2 Posted October 16, 2008 Nice catch! Yea, the big freight carriers are trying to streamline themselves in various ways. - A
Ken S. Posted October 16, 2008 Author #3 Posted October 16, 2008 Actually, the customer base for this train is drying up. The chemical plant on the Gladstone Branch is supposed to have service stopping soon. In fact, I think the last day is tomorrow.
Ken S. Posted February 28, 2009 Author #4 Posted February 28, 2009 H-02 in Dover from sometime in November H-02 in Dover from 2/25/09

metsfan Posted February 28, 2009 #7 Posted February 28, 2009 A good spot for freightfanning round here is the R3 line. Sees ~10 freight trains a day of not more. Some are very slow and long, the rest are light and fast and mediumly long. Every once in a while when on (NJT) or PATH i'll see something cool, like the tropicana OJ train. - A
kaback9 Posted February 28, 2009 #8 Posted February 28, 2009 You mean the CSX Trenton line? http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1455980 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1455988 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1467822 http://kaback9.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1473591 Yes its nice for mainline freight. I like chasing my local freights though smaller and always a chase.
