I was kinda surprised, but happy to see this.. I think this 10 car R40 set was a YanKee Special On the D, then laid up in Brighton, and will become a B. The picture above is this same Train as this one. The South motor and 5 cars was signed up as a B, and the rollsigns read Bedford Pk to Brighton Bch, (, while the other 5 cars read Bedford Pk, to Brighton Beach , with the D still on display facing Brighton Beach station. it was cool to see the D letter Return to the Brighton Line :

 

 

Ahh, the mid 80's... Brighton Express D, Brighton Local Q:

 

 

This is just as bad as the 9 train. The 6th Av Q will never go away :
