I'm not very familiar with (NJT), but that is another sign of the higher technology taking over railroads.

 

Great job 502.

 

It was mainly retired due to the massive weight of the multilevel consists vs its small tractive effort, the big work locos & pax locos can move them much more easily. Moving it to MOW work is fitting of its durability. I just wish they'd give it a new paint job.
