vmdicks Posted March 25, 2009 Share #1 Posted March 25, 2009 Hello folks, I took my first ride on the #1 train from South Ferry when I was 11 yo and lived in Staten Island. I was a boy soprano at St Patrick's Cathedral (and haven't stopped singing since). Was I like everyone else, riding up front and looking out the window at the passing scene? I go to know the conductors, the station master at Chambers Street, the ferry crews and bus drivers all along the route home. It cost 35cents round trip. Lot of memories on the #1 & #2.
