  1. The 91 idea is no good. That part of Vauxhall is served by the 70 and, to a lesser extent, the 25. And as for QJT suggesting extend the 25 to that area is ridiculous. The crowding on that route, delays (bus is late, bus breaks down) to/from Maplewood (Loop or 43rd/ Hilton garage), not mentioning the amount of stops it has on Springfield Ave in both Newark & Irvington is crazy. The 70 doesn't need more extensions, the level of service it has is good. But i get what you are trying Transitkid, i give you props for it
  2. Sounds good, but people might want their one way seat to NYC/Newark/Hoboken over the light rail idea.
  3. Hmmm OK. But i honestly think its pointless to extend the Morristown line to that area. The RVL is the natural option (history of the line, the CRRNJ, plus the logo of the RVL pays tribute to it)
  4. Where is your source for that? Last time i checked the Morristown line is not being extended, instead refurbished. I mapped the rail line at Phillipsburg and sure there is a freight line that goes to the Morristown & Montclair but another line is on the RVL. Look it up
  5. Your proposal to connect phillipsburg to the Morristown line is a bad one. I guess you aren't aware of the reopening of the Cut-Off that will bring service to PA (giving funding is available to extend it past MOS 2). Plus it will add more passengers on both the Morris & Essex and Montclair-Booton lines. So that's a no go There has been a proposal to extend the RVL to Phillipsburg but no funding is secure to study the idea
  6. Should be in all the interstate routes, and the most busy intrastate routes as well
  7. There is a similar program in Jersey City, called tap n go or whatever on select routes
  8. I have been away for some time, but now i had spare time to catch up. I seen proposals for many different routes and what not. i agree with some ideas, others left me scratching my head wondering WTF. So ill get to it About the 56/57: those routes do need a boost badly. As a former commuter on those lines, being around route 1&9 in the Linden/Elizabeth corridor is scary, especially crossing it. The 57 used to be dead but with the opening of the movie theater in Linden it has gained a bit. Not too sure about the 56 but i agee on the fact that those routes need to be extended. The 57 should be extended to Rahway via 1&9 on some trips as a test, see how ridership goes. As for the 56, im not sure where to put that one. Even though it does serve Winfield on 3 trips on weekdays. I heard an idea for a route to serve Bayonne - Newark. Sounds great on paper, question is where do you map it. Avenue C, JFK Blvd, Broadway? Throw some ideas and we shall go from there
  9. 67 full time to Seaside Heights?? No thanks. Limited will do as well
  10. when i first proposed the idea, i was thinkin about how the SI railway only goes north and south. there is no rail in the western part of the island and how the main station is St. Georges Ferry Terminal Station. i didnt pay mind about the travelers who live near the Goethals Bridge, which is much closer to JG
  11. i guess academy is out, so coach usa should operate the route. NABIs or MCIs?
  12. whoever said about Woodbridge Mall not being a cash cow is dead on. But Jersey Gardens is one (no taxes for the shop addicts lol), and i know there are some people from SI who go there that have told me they wished there was either a shuttle or a new line for that. Just imagine the commute (for those who don't have a car to commute): take the SI railway to the ferry, ferry to Manhattan, the 1 subway line to WTC, transfer there for the PATH to NWK, take NEC or NJCL to Elizabeth, then take Coach USA 24 to mall. That alone looks painful (for your wallet that is) and thats just one way. Or instead of getting off at WTC, take the 1 subway line up to 42nd st to PABT and transfer there for the 111
  13. it does since Ironbound is the Central Maintenance Facility for NJT as well, so it could lead that it was probably a burn in
  14. Its probably Ironbound training a driver to go train for either 113 or 114 routes, or Ironbound making a maintenance burn in
  15. anyone feels like some routes (interstate) shouldn't serve Union City to alleviate the ridiculous traffic around P.P Road?
  16. at best Q23, as stated before in this thread, if you dont know what your talking about, better off not throwing crazy suggestions. (im in no way trolling, im being real)
  17. at least that takes care of the confusion there
  18. Very interesting proposals for the 10 and a suggested new route. Staten Island seems to be a place that has mass potencial for transit. NJT should capitalize on it
  19. another that ive noticed: since NJT split the 39 to create the 30, service on that route has been great but there have been cases where i seen people walking from the walmart and they have complained about how the 43 was created to serve the employees of the USPS warehouse there instead of being also conscious of the walmart there. but thats just me speaking
  20. not familiar with how the Southern operation of NJT is, but it seems to be incredibally worse, in my opinion
  21. Anyone from Southern NJ care to chip in on proposals that NJT has thought of?
