  1. Its a very limited run, so keep your eye open. I've only seen it on the afternoon rush only
  2. Its a version of the 24, only it starts/end at Newark Penn Station to/from Jersey Gardens on rush hours only
  3. Good thing to update the list. Just a few things to edit: All the Novas (both the baby and regular buses), with the expection of the ones remaining at Orange, are all retired. The ones at Roach USA O.N.E. Bus garage are now owned by Roach USA. Also add the 95 route to Orange A
  4. Well another MCI gets into an accident, this time on the Turnpike in Linden (news is 4 hours old as I type this)
  5. Shoot I remember when the 24/44 were ran by NJT, the Flxibles had the O.N.E. logo in NJT colors on the front and back of the buses. Man I feel old
  6. Any way you can do the go routes on an MCI?
  7. When I saw those pictures, I couldnt stop laughing. It also happened on the 31 and you can imagine how horrible that had to be. I haven't seen the baby Novas since then
  8. Welcome to Roach USA, where they are at standing room only between Orange and the Newark/Elizabeth border. They sort of tag-team a lot when it comes to the 24. Its so bad they be skipping stops to avoid taking more passengers
  9. well that's one big mess then. I thought of one idea but then more then one idea popped up. Keep in mind that its just one big crapshoot so I'm rolling the dice. Here goes: Idea #1: Silk City or any other operator that is familiar with the area, is the Meadowlands parking lot used as a Park n Ride? If not, then that is one. That place has a rail station just begging to be used when there is no football/events occurring at MetLife, and whenever Xanadu or whatever is called finally opens. Have the train go from the Meadowlands to Hoboken in the AM rush (debating whether it should stop at Secaucus or not, judgment is out there). That could open up some traffic at PABT and save up on DH trips to/from the city. Use that thing to its potential. Idea #2: To my original question, I wanted to know how bad things are around PABT in terms of idling and having NJT buses on the streets. I know I'm gonna get dogged here for my idea (or not, all criticism & comments are welcome) but I was thinking and I ask myself: why doesn't NJT use the Ferry St shop as an alternative lot for some buses deadheading to PABT for whatever rush hour. Its close to the Turnpike. If you want a bigger spot, how about NJT using the old movie theater parking lot on Foundry St (where the old 1 route use to terminate before it got shut down and moved to Euclid & Lockwood Aves.) as an another ideal location. If a bus starts to have issues, Ironbound/ Central Maintenance Facility isn't far from either locations. What you guys think?
  10. I have a question for the PABT issue, where do the buses park at for the rush, and if its either the streets of Midtown, the Weehawken Lot or both. How bad does it get? I think, although its a crap shoot, i might have an idea about it
  11. http://rlsmedia.com/breaking-news/article/removal-two-passengers-nj-transit-train-turns-violent This little gem happened during rush hour on the Raritan Valley Line. After a game that Colombia won (after the biting game) these two thought it be ok to bring their bikes on the train and well the rest is on the video
  12. Call me old school, but I rather ride a RTS over a CRAPI anyday
  13. When its a state-run agency, they want to keep the employment local, not out of state
  14. Neo's on the 108? Hahaha that's laughable. Im sorry but given the road condition of Ferry St past Vincent St all the way to NJTs Ferry St garage/training area/whatever it is, ain't pretty for driving. No matter how many patch up work is done there the road is no good for driving, period. Idk how the 1 does it when its Jersey City-bound. Even some Ironbound drivers deadheading back to the garage avoid going thru that part and take the back roads
  15. it always seems that the South Jersey operations get the short end of the stick. Using the mini CRAPIs for crush loaded routes shouldn't be allowed AT ALL. i feel bad for ya guys over there
  16. 5226, last I saw that bus it was a go28 bus before they cut the University Heights section on said route. when was it moved?
  17. Just to say something about NJT and the current situation on buses: first off, they should have all the blame for the current shitstorm they are in. The DesignLine dilemma, I'm not gonna go beat a deadhorse about it so I'll leave it be. NJT should've kept the MCI CNGs until the newer ones start arriving. All they have to do is replace the tanks with aftermarket ones and once you have enough of the new fleet, then they can start scrapping them. But I learned that it comes down to one thing: money. Speaking of the CNGs, the garage that houses them. Howell needs to stop hoarding MCIs from different garages. I'm sure the other garages have their needs for them and the last place they should be is at Howell. The situation at Ironbound: IDK how this all started but NJT management needs to put their foot down on the people in charge of that garage and straighten the ship. Its unacceptable having the other garages nearby (Hilton, Orange, Meadowlands, and to a lesser extent Big Tree and Greenville) pick up the slack on Ironbound's routes when they have their own routes to run and not enough personnel to send out to help. end of rant
  18. Pretty sure it had to be around the time the CNGs were refurbished from the "disco stripes" to the current "wave" vinyl.
  19. 6319 is not a loaner. As stated on another thread Orange is doing runs on the 62 due to a situation over at Ironbound
  20. That's simple, the 700's that are operated by CC (Community Coach) are contracted routes from NJT. The O.N.E. Bus lines (24, 31, 44) are owned by Coach USA.
