  1. The R179's are going to retire the R32's & 42's, so the will get them.
  2. Why not just suspend the ? It is just getting in the way of other lines?
  3. No, it's true. Anyways, I said in an edited post that I would reroute the B64 back to 86 Street but leave the B10 on Bath Avenue. Any thoughts?
  4. I just realized... I'm turning into the Wallyhorse of the bus forum!
  5. I edited the post. How do you know the B10 would underperform?
  6. 2, 3 & 4: The does some weird things. I disagree with you on the point that the B10 & B64 should not be combined. Doing that may give the agency some incentive to keep Bath Avenue service around. You would want to enhance the B64, but... wait... NEW B64 IDEA! Via 86 ST & Bath Avenue: Shore Road - Coney Island! It will supplement the B1 while keeping everyone in Bath Beach happy. But this probably won't happen... In this idea, the B10 would remain on Bath Avenue, supplementing the B64 here. It's kind of a flip-flop, but it is the better idea. P.S. I would implode my home, if I could afford it, because I HATE MICE/RATS!
  7. We all know that. It's terrible that the can really do whatever they want because some people are forced to use the system.
  8. 1. lol... unnecessary image... 2. The B10 was originally supposed to go down 86 St and Shell Road to Coney Island, but I thought a combination with the B64 made more sense. The MTA is just trying to axe the B64 or they wouldn't have moved it to Bay Ridge Avenue. Eventually Bath Avenue will have no service. Better something than nothing. 3. Yes, I am being thoughtful. The fact is, the B64 probably won't be around much longer, and Bath Avenue businesses & residents will have no bus service at all. With what were given now, I think Bath Avenue is the best route. 4. I do appreciate your opinion, a lot, but I just disagree.
  9. Weeell, the isn't big on what the rider chooses, so the service down there will get screwed and always will get screwed.
  10. EVERYONE STOP. What is wrong with the B1? You can connect to it at Ocean Parkway. Why is everyone so upset with new B64 routing?
  11. New situation: Due to the rehabilitation of the passageway between & ( 34 Street Stations, Penn Station on the , , , , , is closed. LIRR platforms have been given seperate exit at NJ Transit platform, so just reroute subway lines.
  12. Ok. Like I said, folks in Bath Beach still can transfer to the B1 or the B33 for service to Fort Hamilton (South Bay Ridge) or North Bay Ridge, respectively. The B10 can be detatched from the B64, if that's what you are so worried about, but with the B10 & the B33, the B64 is redundant. I sent the B10 & 19 to Prospect Park because I think it is the best terminal. As you said, they don't nessesarily have to go that far. They can terminate in Boro Park and people wouldn't care.
  13. Yanking thread from the dead... New route: (O) & <O> South Ferry - Co-Op City via LI Expressway (Italicized stops are express stops) Stops: South Ferry , , , Chambers St Franklin St Canal St Houston St Christopher St 14 Street - Abingdon Sq 23 Street 28 Street 34 Street 42 Street 49 Street 10 Avenue-53 Street 7 Avenue-53 Street 5 Avenue-53 Street Lex Avenue-53 Street Manhattan ----------- Queens Court Sq-23 Street (New Lower Level) , 47 Avenue Van Dam St Greenpoint Avenue 48 Street 58 Street Maurice Avenue 65 Place 69 Street-Grand Avenue Mazeau Street 80 Street Woodhaven Blvd-Queens Center (Exits at Woodhaven Blvd, Junction Blvd, Queens Blvd, H.H. Expressway) , 99 Street 108 Street Meadow Lake Road Main Street Kissena Blvd Holly Avenue Franklin Avenue Roosevelt Avenue-Main St , Queens ------- Bronx Lafayette Avenue E Tremont Avenue Crosby Avenue Pelham Bay Park Bartow Avenue - Asch Loop [O] Drieser Loop Boston Road E. 233 St <O>, [O]
  14. That explanation kind of shoots itself in the foot. Boro Park residents use the (B16). Even if most don't need the Prospect Park leg, some might. If there was no service, no one would be happy. The purpose of the B10 is to help straighten out the (B16) while trying to service everyone. People can always transfer to the B33 (below). I could reroute the B19 to fix this as well, but that route has a purpose of it's own. The B19 is a supplement to the (B70), because people along 3rd Avenue used the (B39) to go downtown (in theory) so B19, being able to connect with other lines, is a supplementary service. The B33 is like this because of the Emmons Avenue situation checkmate & VG8 are debating. It supplements the (B4), and provides much needed service to Emmons Avenue. But your alteration of the (B4) is not a bad idea. Ok. Personally, you never know. That (B8) extention may help a few people!
  15. Because I don't live in South Brooklyn! I can't remember the last time I was there, so I can't contribute anything factual. I'll just spectate on this one.
  16. It's funny... where VG8 is, checkmate is to follow and vice versa... are you sure you guys aren't related?
  17. Don't even try and join their private conversation man. It's no use.
  18. Happy birthday!

  19. I have a feeling the wouldn't like it! (In a gruff voice) "Too close to the (B4)!"
  20. Sorry about the 'tude. Didn't mean to be disrespectful. It was just a question, thats all. I wouldn't mind your opinion, though!
  21. B33: Bay Ridge: Current B9/B64 terminal. Sheepshead Bay: Some short turns at Sheepshead Bay Station, full route ends at Nostrand & Emmons Avenue.
  22. I realize that truncating the (B70) is a dumb idea, but I stand by my (B8)! When you said "cool" about my other routes (B10/19/33), did you mean that you liked them, or were you being sarcastic? It's hard to pick up sarcasm over the Internet. I got the idea for the B33 from your sig! Originally, the B33 was a useless Avenue X crosstown. Now, it has meaning! You wouldn't mind including the B33 on that map, for comparison? (As a note, where Bay Ridge Avenue is one-way, B33 uses 68 St-Ovington Avenue for other direction. Between Coney Island Avenue & Ocean Avenue, serves Sheepshead Bay Station. Sheepshead Bay loop: Avenue X > Knapp St > Emmons Avenue > Nostrand Avenue > Shore Parkway > Knapp St > Avenue X.
