3320 is on loan to JFK from Spring Creek. I saw it on the QM18 today.

What transit agencies in the US still runs Orion I's?
not really a transit agency but CitySights NY has a converted Orion 1.508 among their fleet. Not sure if it's the only Orion 1 or if they have more than one. Their fleet are mainly Gillig Phantom conversions and 1 or 2 Orion 5's, and some oddball units (all are conversions to double decks)

They were saying it was a transmission problem? Something about the fluid being too low. I wasn't there, but my friends were reporting it to me.

Yep and because of that it is getting scrapped. 9905 is the only one left I can't believe 9871 didn't make it and it was very close to NYCT spec's
9899 is the other one as well.

Rumor has it that 9849, 9899 and 9905 are only on the official roster for fueling purposes only...

9849 is on the Q72 right now. Should be completing its third trip.
The 6000's at LaGuardia are LOANERS, do not add to roster. Same with 9849 and the C40's from CP and SC

What buses are being retired with that big order of XD40's and LFS's? Is MTA Bus getting buses because I'm assuming that if NYCT's 1996 RTS's go MTA Bus's will go too.
The 97' and/or 98'-99' RTS batch (maybe 99' Orion V's in the mix) will displace the 96' batch at MTA Bus. MTA Bus's order is a separate order which is yet to be known who will win that contract.
