Your right.. A lot of the of the guys I know at BP do the 21... They did fight to keep it...
I would say this tho I wouldn't hurt for BP to take on another local route
They have the Q64 now... Add another route as well
It would actually make sense to have every QM route come out of 1 depot... Thing is CP doesn't wanna lose any local route that's a money maker in return for express routes...
I would give BP the Q65 for the QM21
Lol what's wrong with RTSs
JFK actually does pretty well with RTSs
That's why they have been getting dumped with them...
LGA can't seem to figure out the difference from a screwdriver and a wrench so if anything I wouldn't wanna send anything to LGA
Everything they touch ended up back in someone's maintanence bay
You sure... I've heard that from several BP drivers... Eventually down the line they suppose to lose that to CP
CP is tryna get all QM routes basically from how it's being told to me
Once again this is purely heresay
If they did it wouldn't be a completely fleet change if anything what Transit loves to do is shift buses around to even out mileage... So what would probably happen is those NGs would get shifted to another depot and in return they would get another set of NGs
Not really a bus move but I just rode past that facility in JFK and noticed there are some 77xx's from WF there along with some Hybrids from MTAB... What facility is this ?
Baisley Park was trained on NGs too... They had the demo buses
MTA Bus said this in 2010
" When the NGs first arrived, Baisley Park tested 3 demo units: 1292, 1294, and 1295 "
I'm not... Those OGs are special I wouldn't think JA would kno what to do with those 1st Gen Hybrids...
Notice Jamaica NEVER had OG Hybrids... Only NGs
I've always said the 6 should go to the terminals via 150th St... And have the Q7 go to the Post Office via Rockaway Blvd
Not every Q6 would go to the terminals.. I would say the Limiteds and during off peak hour every other bus would go to the Terminals
Doing this would increase service on the Q7.. It would have to be a 24/7 route
The 6 going to the terminals would not so much help the 3 but it would offer those another option besides coming up
Farmers Blvd to get to Terminal 5
Probably a loaner....
9533 seen this past weekend on Q3
Also saw 80xx on Q20B today
It was a QV 80xx....
9849 was also out on the Q65... Although it did look like it needed some TLC
your right which is why i say keep it exactly how it is now.. except run Artics on every Airport B15...
the B15 to JFK Airport is a good route for Artics
they need to finally give ENY some
Very Very True.... Those hawks coming out the Airport are crushed loaded every night
I personally feel the B15 can use Artics..
No limited or SBS... Just keep it the way it is now and run 60 footers instead of the standard 40 footers
The 15 reminds me of the Q44 pre Artic days when it would be crushed the whole route...
What do y'all think of B15 using Artics ?
Q7 to JFK Post Office...
Instead of turning on to 150th on Rockaway Blvd.. Proceed to go straight down Rockaway Blvd basically following old Q6 route into airport straight to the post office....
Q6 (Limited.. Send ALL Limiteds) to Terminal 5...Via Sutphin Blvd to 150th St... 150th St into Airport to the JFK Expwy.... JFK Expwy to Terminal 5
Doing this will give Airport Riders another Option to the Jamaica Area besides the Q3 and AirTrain
Was on 4976 (ENY) last night and the tranny sounds done....
Also seen 4942 ex JA on B6
Tell me something is QV short because UP didn't send over 94xx's ?
What's really going on at Queens Village... I've been out the loop for a while
The LFS swap made sense with Jamaica... But why haven't those 64xx's left yet ?
I also heard there are 38xx's in QV as well.. Can anyone confirm this ?
